Corey Taylor announced them ending slipknot. They will have one more album, then corey will be moving on to Stone Sour. Heres what he exactly said:

"The great thing about SLIPKNOT is it is one of those bands that if it hangs out too long, it will not be cool at all," Taylor said. "So we do what we do with SLIPKNOT. I think SLIPKNOT has one more album in it, and then we\'ll call it a day. \'Cause if we over stay our welcome people are going to start to turn on it." He added, "STONE SOUR, on the other hand, I think has 10 or 15 years in it, just for the fact that we can do anything. The bad thing about SLIPKNOT is we kind of painted ourselves into a corner, with STONE SOUR all bets are off."

Stone Sour isnt bad er anything but Slipknot kix way more @ss. Most here probably doesnt listen to slipknot, but for those who do, thought u should be informed.(if you dont already know)

Personally, I think Slipknot is garbage, so I don\'t mind :)

Slipknot\'s first album was cool, hadn\'t heard shit from them since, so Stone Sour from what I\'ve heard is much better

Slipknot\'s a decent band. I used to be a fan of their extremely heavy and hard music. But I quickly grew tired of them and found infinitely better metal music(Metallica, Megadeth, etc). The lead singer(Corey) has an extremely versitile recorded voice(it sucks live though). His normal singing sounds great and he has the best growl/scream that I\'ve ever heard, but the rest of the band really brings him down. Their guitarists are awful and their drumming is decent at best. And why the **** do they need 5 extra people just to give you the finger and bang their heads around?

I hope Stone Sour lets Corey expand his musical talent. Slipknot can RIP and be known as a better than average death metal band.

no kidding. went to their concert a while ago and he did a solo while the platform he was on lifted into the air and went inverted. was awesome. Also, corey\'s yell is a part from anyone else\'s and he can also sing(which people doubted until \'bother\' came out).

Yah.  Slipknot\'s drummer is one of my favorites.

But the band itself is nothing but a bunch of tryhards.

and if joey(the drummer) doesnt find a new singer and stays with his side project(murderdolls), hell play guitar. Which sux, cuz hes way better at being a drummer. Except, slipknot had a guy named Anders before corey came, maybe they can pick him back up and the (sic)ness will continue. And for you guys, joey will still be a drummer,lol. not that u care about slipknot being back.

o ya..heard about him being in another band. But have they made any cd\'s yet. Cuz if they havnt, he could join slipknot again, cuz if hes a musician hed probably want to make cd\'s. But, even though Anders started slipknot, it still wont be the same without corey. I doubt theyll get a new singer, but u never know.

That sucks... Is this true. Slipknot is one of my favorite bands, For anyone saying the guitarists suck- you are so wrong. He is totally sick at the guitar. Up their with his warlock- just awesome. I am a true maggot and will still listen to their music- I havent heard Stone Sour\'s stuff. But I\'ll check that out, BTW: is he vocals in Stone sour?

ya, he is vocals in stone sour. He sings a lot more. I like it, but slipknot blows them away. Im getting disasterpieces the DVD for christmas. u have it yet spudz?
