EDIT: I only read a fraction of that article and I already think that guy should be shot... or slinky\'d, or something.

2nd EDIT: Oh my god... I\'ve slinky\'d a human being... what have I done... *runs*

I dont believe this but who cares... why do people piss and moan about her death?...

It was part of the story line and it was a better game because of it.

I remember reading in articles, letters etc in magazines and the internet that Aeris\' resurrection was planned only as a seccret in the game.I also remember reading the proceedings to ressurect her but at the end Square left them incomplete.
With other words scrapped

Aeris was resurrected.

Quote
#5. Now some of the interesting, \'solid\' information I stumbled upon in the game. In Cloud\'s dream of Aeris before her death, read carefully what Aeris has to say...

* * *

  Aeris: "Cloud, can you hear me?"
  Cloud: "Yeah, I hear you. Sorry for what happened."
  Aeris: "Don\'t worry about it."
  Cloud: "...I can\'t help it..."
  Aeris: "Oh... Then why don\'t you REALLY worry about it? And let me handle Sephiroth. And Cloud, you take care of yourself. So you don\'t have a breakdown, okay?"
  Cloud: "What is this place?"
  Aeris: "This forest leads to the City of the Ancients... and is called the Sleeping Forest. It\'s only a matter of time before Sephiroth uses Meteor. That\'s why I\'m going to protect it. Only a survivor of the Cetra, like me, can do it. The secret is just up here... I feel it. It feels like I\'m being led by something. Then, I\'ll be going now. I\'ll come back when it\'s all over."
  Cloud: "Aeris?"
  Aeris runs off into the light. Sephiroth appears from out of the trees.
  Sephiroth: "Hmm. She\'s thinking of interfering? She will be a difficult one, don\'t you think? We must stop that girl soon."

* * *

  "I\'ll come back when it\'s all over." is the very last sentence Aeris utters to Cloud alive. She knows she\'s going to die, as concluded in hint #2. Yet she claims she\'ll be \'coming back\'. That can only mean one thing... a resurrection. There is no doubt, as a resurrection is the only possible way of Aeris returning from the dead and \'coming back\'.

That is the most important quote he uses.  But he completely ignored the "when it\'s all over" part of her sentence.  Which, she did.  She was never meant to be resurrected during the game, as she was resurrected during the ending.

Clowd: L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 + Start + Select.  There\'s your button combo. Press it anytime before Aeris\' Death Scene FMV and she won\'t have to die.  Happy?

L1,L2,R1,R2 + select and start doesnt work....

Bobs Hardware I never thought ofit that way.  That probably is how it happened.  But due to time and money square didnt complete the game.

this is why we need a ff7-2

Square did complete the game.  Square never once announced that FFVII was incomplete due to lack of resources/time.  Fans started that rumour, and it\'s complete fabrication.

Aeris was revived by Holy.  And then the game ended.

End of story.

:)

Not necessarily, but they go well together.

But seriously, why is so crucial to keep Aeris alive?

Consequences are one of the most important parts in a story. They\'re what is left when the story is over, which includes what the story has taught you (the meaning) or what it has made you think about. In fact, the other parts of the story exist just to create those consequences or for aesthetic reasons.

Change those consequences and you will alter reader\'s perception of the story completely (gamer\'s, in this case).

PS: Adan, how long did it take you to find that quote? I said that ages ago :)
Whatever

i  felt sad when aeris died.  Was a little surprise.  It\'s one of the most memorable moment.  If Aeris resurrected, the story will probably be more confusing and suck.  One of the reason why ffvii story is good because aeris died.

Of course it doesn\'t. :confused:
Who is this anamoly we call Jumpman? How is he able to do what he does and still survive after years of torment? It seems he feeds on the hate, growing with an intense passion to put unassuming members in their place.
