Yes, from only one cell, they grew the first organ\'s cells in a kinda small dish (those of bacteries) and then, when the organ became to take shape in size, they introduced the experiment in a small transparent box in which the heart grew perfectly till complete a full-functional heart. I don\'t know what the hell they\'ve done with it, but in the beginning of the research, it was supposed to be implanted into an american cityzen.

personally i think that this is all just some big publicity stunt. and if its not, then its just so messed up.

I\'m with this guy!!! Cloning humans is immorral, but to use it to grow hearts, lungs and other bodily organs that would otherwise not be possible, to save lives by giving someone a new heart or kidney just seems great to me, or being able to place new nerve cells in someones spine to make them be able to walk again, I don\'t see whats wrong with that!!!

What about in terms of giving a child to a family who could not otherwise have a baby?

For those against that as well b/c of programs like adoption. Please remember how hard it is to be able to adopt a baby.


On a slightly different note. Im cuious as to how fast the child will age. I remember that DOLLY(the lamb) aged VERy quickly. Someone told me that a similar comparo would be a life span of 40-50 for this cloned human. Could you imagine feeling like you are 60 in only 20 years?

I say cloning to grow organs for someone who needs them is a great idea.  You are saving lives that way.  However, cloning with the intent of allowing the clone to grow and live a full life is very wrong.  The vast majority of clones grown for that purpose have deadly birth defects.  It\'s just cruel to the clones.

That\'s one of the main problems in clonning programs. I guess they will find the solution soon.
