Plain and simple, if the US government was to stop trying to play Jesus and bring peace to every single country in the world, none of this would of happened. Some of you sound proud that the US is going into 3 wars at once, proud about the US being one of the most hated countries, proud of the Shoot first ask questions later. Giga why cant you just let it go man, if your soo sure she aint my girlfriend, then why dont you come over here and meet her? I honestly dont care if you believe me or not. Why doesn\'t the US try find a cure for cancer, rid the world of suffering, and cover up the hole in the ozone layer? Since this country seems to think it can solve any problem, even if it isnt its business. TITAN you\'re wrong, i hate bin laden for what he did. Its terrible that he killed all those people. what i hate is the fact that if the US brings all this to itself by its own actions and so-called good deeds. Those countries didn\'t ask for help, and if they did, the only reason this gov. went in and help was to add another country that owes a favor to its list.

The government tells us we want to hear ONLY in countries where the Gov\'t controls the media.

When was the last time the gov\'t knocked on your door and told you what you wanted to hear?

The media has total control of what is said and with the competition these days, nothing goes unsaid.  If it can be found out you will be told.  That is why we know that the people don\'t really hate americans like is so presented sometimes.  That is the stuff coming from news organizations from those countries.

If you watch documentaries and what not you will see that the people are very repressed and are dying to get out.

Yawn, this is getting old and the pizza guy just showed up.  Damn it\'s great to be an american.  Pick up the phone and 20 minutes later I have pizza.

Am I proud that we might fight three wars? Am I proud that we are the most hated country? And shoot first ask questions later is the what the military believes (and which I personally believe. you ask questions in a battle, you\'ll get yourself killed).

Hey moron, the US isn\'t trying to find a cure for cancer. Individual medical researchers are. And about patching the Ozone, you can\'t synthetically create Ozone. The chemical formula is O3 (subscript) and is like creating gold. It can\'t be done. We aren\'t the only country with a hole in the ozone. Why aren\'t you blaming other countries for not trying to patch it up? Why are you acting like its our fault that we aren\'t trying to patch it?

We aren\'t going into the other countries to they owe us a favor. We do humanitarian work for the same reason missionaries go to other countries. To help out.

And SirMystiq. Vid is right about the media. The government keeps secrets which a lot do eventually get out. The media is pretty much free to say what they want. They don\'t tell us what they want to hear.

Luckee, you are right, we shouldn\'t have been in Vietnam or Korea. But the reason we did is to bring democracy to those countries which now is a lost cause. Communism isn\'t as bad as it was in the 50s and 60s.

I ve seen enough made up lies like Saddam went to a hospital and started killing babies.

They are trying to look like peace makers.Its all bs.They are trying to create a thread.A thread in SA.And I am not getting all these stuff solely from the media.I see things.I ve been in Saudi Arabia.

The Iraqi\'s did go into a few Kuwaiti hospitals and take incubators.  Whether a baby was in them before hand, I do not know.

Here in Cyprus every channel plus Greek channels showed footage from a foreign channel(I cant rememer which it was) a supposed nurse saying that newborns have been unplagged from their incubators and left abandoned on the cold floor to die.

A few days later it was discoverd that the nurse was not a nurse but the daughter of the Kuweit ambassador.

LIES!!

And they havent found any nuclear weapons either.

I saw a documentary one time was escorted around Iraq.  He was able to talk to people and what not, but only with the escort with them.  He went to hospitals and the doctors squacked on and on abou thow they have nothing.  No prescriptions, no drugs, no equipment, and the food/drug for oil campaign wasn\'t working.

Then the escort and the dude split up for a sec and he asked a doctor some questions off to the side and he told him that they were fine.  

He then went to the drug store and bought all the drugs he wanted.  He even asked the guy behind the counter about a shortage and the dude had no clue what he was talking about.

Yes that is correct Unicorn, but incubators were taken.  There is a still a debate whether any infants were harmed.  Some say they were others say they were not.  The daughter of the Kuwaiti ambassador did play it up quite a bit though.
