Well, I\'m not going to say much, but I guess I\'ll continue with that "Just a game" statement.
Different places, different faces, different reactions. Here in Nebraska, we got one team. They\'re nationally recognized, and outside of this year, one of the Top 10 programs in the country. Nebraska football isn\'t just a sport, it\'s the reputation of the state. When most people think of Nebraska, they think of Corn and Football. For some, it\'s just a game, but for others...it\'s the reputation of a society, and for the few, an entire state.
When people lay that "it\'s just a game", I scoff at them. If you don\'t know the psychee of the person, the statement means nothing.
Oh, and smacking somebody in the back of the helmet after a play is well dead is much worse than tossing ice at a kid while not looking. To further go into that -- the Kid got a football, and Shaun Williams got tossed, while TO didn\'t.
Those two incidents are in NO WAY related. Shockey tossed ice over his shoulder, and Terrell Owens instigates fights in two consecutive plays.
