Look I wrote them an e-mail!!
Hey,
Unlike the other kids that have emailed you and probably made this case worst, I won\'t. Im 15 years old. I play video games all the time. I own GTA:VC, Red Faction, and Onimusha, among others but those are the violent ones. Im sad to read about how you people made or are trying to make video games look so bad. You blame the problems in today\'s world on everything, except yourselves. I take it you believe that Video Games are the cause for world hunger too. If you don\'t want your kids to have fun and enjoy some things in life then don\'t let them. You people are trying to get other parents to do the same things. My parents don\'t care what I play, they do to an extent, but they really don\'t mind me beating up FAKE prostitutes in a video GAME. Unlike you guys, my parents trust me. They know I wouldn\'t go out and kill people to take their money. They know that. But, seeing how you parents blame video games for violence, I guess Im going to go out and kill me some prostitutes, blame it on video games, and I\'ll be home free.
You people should reconsider your opinions and views. The developers of these games, they have all right to make games like that. It\'s their job to make money, and if it sells then they\'ll do it. Trying to ban violent games is the easy way out. Instead of spending hours trying to find new ways to make video games look bad, why don\'t you spend that time with your kids and tell them the difference between right and wrong, evil and good, and do\'s and don\'ts. That is the only reason why kids are violent this days, parents think that by joining some club they\'re responsible parents. That\'s all I have to say to this matter, and please don\'t reply with something like, "Well your one of the few that aren\'t affected by video game violence...," because that\'s not true. All my friends play games, and not one of them has shot somebody.
For the record, kids that are violent because of video games are the minority, not the majority, like you people think. Please post up some real facts, not a bunch of made up things. That report card is a fake. But, if your kids report cards look like that, then it\'s not video games, it\'s their brain.
