Nintendo tries a new idea...
« on: January 07, 2003, 06:23:53 PM »
I figured I\'d post it in here to get more attention, and rather not become a flame war.

Apparently nintendo is trying something a bit new. Looks great IMO

Looks very nice.  I\'m not a GBA kind of gy, but I figure in a couple years I\'ll be having to buy the next gen for the Logster.
I wear a necklace now because I like to know when I\'m upside down.

Vid can you adopt me? I don\'t eat much, and I\'m a good cook. I get good grades and I can even bring home some high school girls when you get bored with the wife.

Ahh, gotta love Nintendo -- always thinking. I\'m certianly hoping that this is not the "Mega Announcement" that they were talking about, however. If this was it, then they gave the idea too much credit, and again, built their fans\' hopes up way too high.

It looks kick ass, however, but I don\'t think I\'ll be getting one. March 23rd...2 months before B-day, I\'ll ask for Money, but I\'ll be getting a Playstation 2 most likely. Hopefully the price drops again...I want in a Madden League, and when I do get this capability, I WANT THE CHIEFS!

See Yuz.
What do Kerry Wood, Mark Prior, Matt Clement, and Carlos Zambrano have in common?

They\'re the pieces to the next great pitching rotation of our time, what else?

GO CUBS!

Nintendo were never talking about a "Mega" Announcment, Jamas.

A new idea... for Nintendo perhaps.  They should have included backlighting years ago.  They are only 7 years behind Sega.

OOOOOOOOOOO. Me likey! I haven\'t bought a Gameboy since the very first few months the first one came out. This one looks awesome, love the backlights, rechargable batteries, and the design. Hopefully I can save up a 100 bucks for this.

I can see little kiddies snapping that screen off pretty easily.

Looks quite slick... But as I already own a GameBoy and hardly play the thing, I will not buy it - at least not in a while.

Not really. The only reason Nintendo didn\'t go backlit was because they couldn\'t get a decent time until the batteries drained out. GameGear required SIX batteries and only lasted 3-5 hours. That\'s simply atrocious. This little wonder from Nintendo last ten with 2 batteries. 7 years beyind?Nope.
Who is this anamoly we call Jumpman? How is he able to do what he does and still survive after years of torment? It seems he feeds on the hate, growing with an intense passion to put unassuming members in their place.

yeah bob, on 6 batteries, 3 times that of Gameboy\'s, it lasted a third of the time the Gameboy did...  Nintendo was much smarter in providing longer lasting batteries.  Plus the backlit screen is able to be turned on and off.
