Favorite non-blockbuster movies
« on: January 16, 2003, 03:53:28 AM »
this is a thread to help people find some movies that are good, but didn\'t have multi-million dollar advertisment budgets.

Two of my favs are Momento and Requiem for a Dream.

Momento is about a man with no short term memory who is trying to solve his wifes murder.  Since her murder, he can\'t make new memories, so he must write himself notes and the likes.  This is a shitty description, but a damn good movie.

Requiem for a Dream is about druggies...

I really don\'t know which movies were cheap to produce, so I have no clue.

Speaking of bizarre... what about The Elephant Man.

OH, another great overlooked movie is Donnie Darko.

BrainDead not the one directed by Adam Simon and with Bill Pullman was the Kind of Follow up but it had a entire new story.

The same style but this time it was just your regular Zombie not the Alien type.

Yeah, the Lynch version. Granted, I don\'t remember much of it now, but when I saw it many years ago it seemed quite bizarre. :)
