Idea: Learn to install a HD by yourself and quit depending on stupid warrantys for simple things!

^^ Are you stupid? read the damn post, and I\'m training as a PC engineer, I think I can just about put a HDD in. I used the warranty so I didn\'t have to pay for the part. Look before you leap.

Well, I see it this way. You can bitch and moan about them screwing it up and waiting for them to fix it. Or you could quit being a cheap-skate, buy the HD you want and install it yourself and be done with the problem.

Why pay £80 when I don\'t have to? And some of us have other things to pay for then a new HDD, I\'m sorry, but mummy and daddy don\'t pay for all my stuff. Now, if you want to wire me £80, I\'ll gladly go buy a new drive, install it and send you a picture.

That doesn\'t sound good. You\'re training as a engineer yet u can "just" about put a hard drive in.  It should take u 1 week to learn how to build a pc from scratch when schooling/working in it. It\'s not exactly hard.

You can\'t VOID the warranty if u install it yourself. They\'re bullshitting u. Any "engineer" would know this. They get their stuff from wholesalers, the wholesalers from the manufactures. The manufactures are the ones that make the warranty rules. Installing a hd is not going to void warranty even if your not qualified to do it. I\'ve installed heaps of hard drives and returned failed/faulty ones without having any degree/diploma or certificate.

If it is faulty or If they don\'t want to replace it on the spot. Ask for your money back. They have to by law.
just a thought.

When I said just about, I was being sarcastic. And I\'m going on what they said, if I put it in, I\'m ****ed, maybe it\'s just them, but that\'s the way it is.
