January 16, 2003 - Today at its Gamers\' Day, Konami of America revealed that an all-new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game is on its way to GameCube, PlayStation 2, and PC. Confirmed by the producer 4Kids Entertainment in September of 2002, Konami has been tight-lipped about its TMNT acquired license until today. Additionally, a pocket version for Game Boy Advance is planned for simultaneous release in October 2003. Looks like turtle shells and leftover pizza is back in for Halloween kids.
The new offering will be based on the revival of the franchise, which the Fox network is bringing back to Saturday morning this February. The show is still based on the famous green dudes Leanardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael, as they seek constant retribution upon Shredder. The game is described as 3D "fighting/action," where players will draw upon their ninja skills to kick, punch, and dodge their way through packs of Foot Ninjas. With a Story Mode and a Vs. Mode there is room for both single and multiplayer action. Whether there is cooperative play for Story Mode is not yet confirmed, but it seems likely.

I hope they keep the basic 2d concept. So many amazing 2d games for supernintendo have been ruined by a 3d counterpart.

Sounds like fun, I just recently was playing one of them for SNES.

This game better have co-op. Without it it wouldn\'t be Turtles. It would just be another crappy overrated game made by Konami. ;)

Im lookin forward to this. I played TMNT endless in the arcades and at home.

Also, the article mentioned battletoads in a blip. I as well hope they bring that game back as well.

That\'s great, I wish Konami would also make a remake of Zombie Ate My Neighbors.  I played that game last night and it\'s fun as hell!
