Barrett Jackson Auto Auction

Is anyone watching the auction this weekend on Speed Channel?  I\'ve seen some of it, and it always amazes me some of the stupid things people bid on.  Today Don Johnson and Cheech Marin showed up to sell some of Johnson\'s personal vehicles.  He sold his yellow convertible Cuda used on "Nash Bridges" for $137,500.00.  So utterly stupid, because it wasn\'t even a hemi.  Whoever bought that is going to find that in 15 years when Don Johnson\'s career is over (again) and Nash Bridges is forgotten, he can\'t see that POS for more than $25,000.00.

Meanwhile, yesterday they sold a George Barris customized Ferrari 308 for only $22,000 I think.  Sure it looked a bit wacky with that Barris paint job and instrument panel, but it was virtually stock and untouched mechanically.  I thought it should have sold for more than that.

It\'s on right now, turn to Speed Channel.  They hired this hot girl named Amy to be one of the bidding assistants.  She goes out among the bidders, and puts her hand on the guy\'s arm, and coaxes them to bid higher.  It\'s so funny how she\'s workin\' em.
