I tryed to control spam once... Remember the spamanators.. or however it\'s spelt.. but some good people that are now mods/admins didn\'t mind the spam.. Looks like it\'s bitten u guys in the arse...

Oh well, glad to see people responding well to this initiative. I remember when I was part of the team cracking down on the whole "Spaminators era o\' spam" - and boy, did (some) people cry a f*cking river.

You might also notice some threads being reopened after a mod deleted the posts in question.

So yeah, I\'m certainly not in favor of closing every thread that\'s just the slightest bit \'off track\'. If need be I\'d rather just delete the individual post(s) even if it means more work. But to each his own.

I have a feeling that I may be one of these people.  Either way, I\'ll try to take it down a level.

Basically, from my own views of my posts a lot of pretty useful stuff that contributes to threads.  In between however, I often post a few pretty random things that don\'t contribute much.  I\'ll try to limit the in between posts.

I don\'t mind when people give short replies.  Or funny replies.  Or whatever.

My main problem is when people ruin threads.  I am so tired of deleting posts.

It\'s amazing that Kopking, Heat, Vapor, theomen, and various other love interests I have left out don\'t notice their posts counts going down all the time.  I guess that\'s the great thing about not having the post count up.

We were hoping to not make a huge stink about this.  Luke actually tried PMing several people.

And Vapor is gone now because of the reply he made in the Tigress thread.  It was just rude and uncalled for.  It actually wasn\'t even that, he was warned by a mod and he was rude in his reply.  He\'s only going to lose access for a couple days, but on the weekend of the championship game I can\'t think of a better time.  

And can we please get good threads!!!!  Enough of the socks, nipples, pictures of 3 day old pizza.

Exactly.  That is what the difference is.  If I post a thread about a Lava Lamp used as a toruist trap, really anything goes in that thread.  But I don\'t want to see Vapor going anal on theomen in the war on iraq thread.
