You can question the actions all you want, but banning him outright would have angered you all the same. His character was hardly as defaced as you make it out to be. You make it sound like I went to his house, dipped him in cow dung, then used him to paint the town brown.

Banning him before obviously didn\'t do the trick so I tried something different. He could have easily earned it all back, but it wasn\'t going to happen with how he chose to post, and now it won\'t happen at all unless he returns.

Now he\'s gone of his own free will and just like that, he has his own free will to return provided he posts appropriately and can earn back all that was taken from him. It\'s no different from him registering a new name and starting to post again.

But that "something different" was flat out unfair and you screwed him. A one week ban won\'t change jack shit. Thats like sending a murderer to jail for a month. I didn\'t believe in banning of Vapor to begin with. I agreed with it at first yes. But then the boards were more boring then a chess game played by old men. Now I don\'t agree with it and I don\'t agree with the stupid new "policy" that post counts and all his dignity are removed. He will never get back his post counts again, EVER. He had some 5000 posts which will take a year to get back there but even then, if he did, he should have 10000 posts. He will NEVER, EVER get his posts that he deserved back.

You have yet to make a coherent post in this thread. I still have no idea where you are coming from with any of this. I\'m wrong not abiding to my own rules? What rules did I make up? Find them.

He was warned and warned, and then banned. He persisted time and time again. How can people be THIS surprised that action was taken against him for it?

No one said this was forum policy. I used it on him because he wouldn\'t listen. Banning him for a week or even a month wouldn\'t get the point across to a person who acts like a child as you put it and banning him would have the same result so it\'s pointless to debate such a thing.

I recall the boards were boring without him. He brought a livliness to the boards that no one else can bring. I don\'t see the boards going up anytime soon, especially now.

You are acting likethis is gonna be the new "policy" on the boards. Like I said before, no one deserves being stripped of everything. Its a stupid idea that would never work. It would only get them more pissed and provoke them to post like they did before but worse.

Thank God this thread hasn\'t been locked...

Anyway, after reading ALL of these posts it is quite CLEAR that Vapor did more than just insult people. He was NOT banned for insulting people, rather it was numerous things that irritated the mods and admins. What do some of you not understand? For the record I am neither for or against Vapor and as of now I don\'t believe he is banned. So his post count was diminished? His avatar was removed? So what!?!? He is free to post here as long as he doesn\'t do the same type of things he was doing before to get himself in this situation.

If he leaves its his own doing... I can\'t believe a debate has taken up six pages over this. As for you SirMystiq... aren\'t you the hypocrite to call someone childish. :rolleyes:
