Your Latest Music Purchase and How it Fares?
« on: January 28, 2003, 06:17:18 AM »
I wonder where I got the idea for this thread... *just got here from CD*

So, the musical equivalent for the latest game purchase -thread rears its ugly head! I bet this has been done to death in OT, but I haven\'t been here for ages so I don\'t care, harhar! I\'m so evil I hurt myself, harhar! Last weekend just exploded in my face with awesome music related stuff flying my way like never before, so if nothing else, I\'m going to make you green with envy, hahahahahaha! Haha! Ha! Eh... or not.

Feast your eyes on this :

My new baby... I love her! She\'s kept me up until the early hours for several nights now. Finally,  I can easily record my own ideas on a disk and not forget every single thing I\'ve come up with because of being too lazy to actually write anything down!

I also purchased a bunch of records.

Groooovy... it\'s just a shame it concentrates only on the music, I would\'ve liked if they had included all the wisecrack narration and stuff... but I\'ll just hook up my MD-recorded into my PS2 and make my own records for those. 7CDs of awesome music, I\'m not complaining.

One of the best games in recent history, and also an awesome soundtrack. Some pieces are almost intolerable, but the overall quality is higher than many might expect. Lots of groovy songs. But no One-Winged Angel? What up with that? Well... Shimomura\'s arrangement wasn\'t that awesome anyways.

Spirited Away was the best movie I\'ve seen in years, honestly. I went out to see it in the cinema 4 times, and now I can\'t wait for the DVD to come out. And now I\'ve got hold of the best movie soundtrack ever made. Bliss. Joe Hisaishi\'s become one of my favourite composers ever in record time. The soundtracks works well even without the movie playing in the foreground, which can\'t be said for many movie soundtracks (at least western ones). Everyone should own this record, you too.

Hey man! Long time no see. I had been given a couple CD’s for Christmas. One was the latest CD by Kutless. It ROCKS! I would have to say that it is the equivalent to TOOL but with a Christian theme. I don’t play any musical instruments any more so I can’t say I have gotten any new stuff like that lately.

I recently bought Opeth\'s latest called Deliverance. Even though I had every song on Mp3 I felt this was worthy of purchase.

I\'m very much happy with the album, getting a lot of playtime.
I recently discovered that my ass is the key to the universe.....now I must fight to protect my ass from those who might abuse it!!!

I recently bought the misfits beware EP because i lost my old one. REcords are expensive nowadays.

Im looking for a new amp for my bass too.

Just got\'s me one of these:

Ampeg BA 210sp, for those who care.

But it arrived damaged, so I should have a replacement relatively soon.

Still waiting for my freekin\' G&L bass to arrive, place the damn order in Sept.!

Purchased a pair of these 2 weeks ago:

A little pricey, but worth every penny for their "uncoloured" response, truly amazing.

I haven\'t bought a CD in a few weeks, but my last purchase was the album "Caution" by "Hot Water Music", which has gotten quite comfortable in my CD player.

"The Division of Laura Lee" has got my attention, though I know very little about them thus far, so I\'ll check out their material this w/e.

I will finally get around to owning "Relationship of Command" by "At the Drive In", yeah I know, it\'s been out for a long time.

Currently, I am digesting a 4-disc James Brown Box set, in hopes that some of that funk/soul will rub-off on me.

And, when I\'m in the "right" state-of-mind, I have been experiencing the latest from "god speed! you black emperor".

Noticed this little gem at the back of a local music store.

Who is this anamoly we call Jumpman? How is he able to do what he does and still survive after years of torment? It seems he feeds on the hate, growing with an intense passion to put unassuming members in their place.

th3 resident evil soundtrack is excellent, if you like that sort of thing. there is loads of stuff that probably is not in the film anyway and all the tracks are extended as well. not bad for a tenner

I don\'t buy music anymore. Why waste your money when you can download them for free? :D

Recently, I\'ve been looking for a pedal for my bass, but it\'s kind of pointless now since I can\'t get it back until I improve my grades. :(
