Metroid movie in the works?
Why yes, yes there is.
Warren Zide and Craig Perry, two men responsible for some of the 90\'s biggest hits, such as American Pie and Final Destination, are currently looking for the rights to create a movie based on Nintendo\'s famed and recently restored Metroid series. They are currently looking to hire writers, directors, actors and actresses to fill out the roles that are in the film.

Just found this out by browsing through the Kings of Chaos\'s nintendo section. If there is one wonder how it will turn out.

Is it me? Or does PSone own all the other systems?

If this is true, they better not screw it over like all the other video game based movies.

Hey, eventually one of these game movies has to turn out well...right?

I heard this about a week ago or so.  Interesting stuff.  I\'ll probably see the movie.

Id say 1 out of 100 comes out successful...

and no Tomb Raider doesn\'t count, the movie sucked, you just went to see it because Angelina Jo Li was in it.

Mortal Kombat and Resident Evil both turned out fairly well, considering they are game to movie\'s. OF cousre Paul Anderson directed both of those, so I vouch for him to get ahold of the Metriod rights.

Resident Evil and Tomb Raider are the only two game movies that turned out remotely good.

Mortal Kombat was a down right embarrassment, so was Street Fighter (though it had Kylie in it) and Super Mario would have had to of been the worse.

Are you on crack? Tomb Raider was maybe of the worst movies ever. Mortal Kombat was actually fairly decent considering it was based off a fighting game. Now , Mortal Kombat : Annhilation was a diaster.

Tomb Raider at least had good acting, sure the story line blowed (and let the movie down) the acting was at least good.

Oh God!  What about Street Fighter, man that movie sucked DicK!  Jean Claude Vandamme is just a horrible actor.  The story was cheezy as well.  The only movie I think is worse was Mario Brothers, and that movie with Fred Savage where he goes to a Mario videogame competition.

BTW:  I noticed Jean Claude Vandamme is only making movies direct to video like The Replicant and theres one more that I know of.  His career has gone down hill!:crap:
