port forwarding

I can\'t get my PC to connect to any IRC channels... I\'m sure it has something to do with this router I bought a while ago (D-Link DI-604).  I need to foward the ports, but I have no idea how.  I\'ve been looking on the net for answers for over an hour now and I can\'t find any info on my router... people post questions in forums, but I have yet to see one answered.

Does anyone happen to have the same router as me?  If so, do you happen to have a solution?

Same happened to me, to enter certain IRC channels I had to port forward (#1080 or 6667 I think) and it worked like a charm.  Get the directions to your Router, either the documentation or the online manual.  It will tell you to enter in an ip address to connect directly to your router.  From there you navigate through a simple menu and enter the port.

nataku go to DOS and write IPCONFIG, and check if the ports are correctly configured.
