Time to see the greatest crashes, post \'em here
« on: February 06, 2003, 08:22:00 AM »
I\'m keen on the F1, racing, etc... and there are times in which I really enjoy with the crashes (of courses, if nobody is injured), so what do u think of opening a thread with the best movies of crashes? I think it is acool way to expand the collection. Here is the first movie.

Description: One of the best F1 crashses, 17 cars involved.
Size: 1.8 MB
Download (Right click, save as)

PD: feel free to post any racing crash, not only F1.

Me no likey the word "greatest" when talking about crashes.  Even though they survive, it\'s still not my choice of words.  Peace out.

Surely the biggest crash I\'ve ever seen

I\'ve seen some crashes at the local speedway here. What\'s amazing, is they were going at least a 100mph, and they walked away. If only passenger cars were like that.

Video I\'ll change the title if you want, but I meant the "biggest"...

Stapler yours doesn\'t work, and Clowd, those movies are very good.

Here you have another one.

Notable "spectacular" crashes.

1992, Berger colliding with Patrese at Estoril in Portugal.
1993, Berger in one hell of a crash in qualifying at Interlagos in Brazil, then having an even more spectacular one the day after at the start of the race.
1993, Spa, in Belium. Zanardi\'s crash coming out of Eau Rouge.
1995, Estoril, Ukyo Katayama barrel rolling his Tyrrell at the start of the race.

If you can find clips of these, post them please.

Ps. Adan, do you ever visit any F1 forums?

The use of the word "greatest" is not always in the context of approval.  Particularly coming from someone with a lesser grip on the English language (sorry Adan :p).  Greatest can certainly be a quantitative value.  I.e. The greatest amount.

What do you mean when you say none liked you? Do you mean that you didn\'t like the forums, or the forums didn\'t like you?

All the racing crashes I used to have were all fatal so I cannot link or post. Gille Villeneuve crash was very nasty to say the least. Also in indycars the Greg Moore and Jeff Krosnov crashes were absolutely sickening.

Yeah\' I\'ve seen them as well.  In the video of Villeneuves crash, you can see him get thrown out of the car as it breaks in two after touching wheels with Jochen Mass\' car.

I was watching the Greg Moore crash as it happened live, and the first thought that went through my head was that he was a gonner, there is no way that anyone could have survived that crash.
