How do I put a password to stop morons from using XP?

I have my own computer and recently my little cousin keeps busting in my room and using it How do I put a password-protection thing so that only I can use my computer?

got to my computer, then control panel, then user accounts, then on the bottom should be a little picture with ur name next to it. Click that then click create a password.

Once you\'ve done that, u can add a pw to your screensaver, incase you\'ve gone out and want to leave your pc running.
Just go to your screensaver settings and check "On resume, password protect"  it will use the same pw that u use for your account.

Or have your comp go to the logon screen as your screen saver.

if i wated to lock a folder, video game, or application how would i go about doing this?

I just read your original question and I see a problem.  If you stop all the morons from using your computer then it will go unused.

I think u need XP Professional to set folder permissions.

I usually just "hide" what I dont want people to use and keep a piece of paper that has where they are hidden.

any NT system allows folder permissions

the easiest way to do it is make the folder "hidden" thru the attrib command
