Official Academy Awards predictions thread

As my contribution to restoring these forums to their former glory, I\'d like to propose that we all post our predictions for the 75th Annual Academy Awards presentation to be held on Sunday, March 23rd 2003.

Copied below are the primary nominations, which were announced today.  I think everyone should feel free to issue predictions on just the catagories they care about.  Don\'t feel obligated to make a prediction on every one.  Please mention whether your choice is the one you want to win, or the one you think will win.  Always a dilemma for me.    Also, feel free to explain your choices.

Unfortunately, I haven\'t seen at least half of the movies represented here.  The ones I have seen: Gangs of New York, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, Road to Perdition, Catch Me If You Can, Bowling for Columbine, 8 Mile, Spider-Man, Star Wars Episode II Attack of the Clones, and Y Tu Mamá También are the only ones I can speak for.  That doesn\'t leave me with much to work with as far as these categories.  I will say that looking back, I thought Gangs of New York was the best movie, and I thought Daniel Day-Lewis was great in it.  I won\'t make predictions or picks though, since there isn\'t a single category that I\'ve seen everything in.

As I wrote in the other thread I started, I\'m just glad M&MM didn\'t get nominated.  I couldn\'t believe it when people were saying he could be.  What a joke.  I was also curious as to whether the Golem character would get a supporting nod.  I thought that would be interesting.  Also the Two Towers not getting a Best Score nod was interesting as well.
