SEGA in trouble....again.
« on: February 13, 2003, 06:24:09 PM »
Check this out.

http://gamespot.com/gamespot/stories/news/0,10870,2910892,00.html

Cutting profit forecast by 90%?? Might as well do a loss forecast!
If I remember correctly, CSK has given up on them already and now it\'s merging with Sammy who makes Pachinko machine... i think SEGA should just give it up and sell themselves to MS while MS still have some interest in them...and since they love to being MS whores anyway.

On another story, MS has loss about USD370 million from the XBOX last year, but it\'s still alright coz Windows earns them USD1.7 billion in profit.

oh this is great... and I\'m falling madly in love with SEGA too, they will live, people get too worried.

I really think we need to be more supportive of SEGA.

Majority of titles?? Like crap conversion of old DC games?? The only good thing SEGA did for the PS2 was VF4. IMO, they\'e seriously overated and deserves what\'s coming to them. Ha!

I believe he means the majority of SEGA\'s titles, not the majority of the all titles on the PS2.

SEGA just can\'t compete with other console developers. I personally have only owned 2 of their systems, the Sega Genesis, and the Sega CD. But I really enjoy their games. Hopefully they\'ve learned their lesson and will just stick to those, maybe then people will stop bashing them.

BTW, I also fail to see why they are MS whores.

I second that.

I kinda thought they were MS whores too. I mean they made some ok games for ps2 but just because they did so doesnt mean the games were that great. XB got gunvalkyrie (which surpizingly quite a few ppl enjoyed *cough* the pple at PLAY mag). They also got Sega gt 2002, jet set radio future, Panzer Dragoon orta etc. Even out of those im jelous. Meh, anyway i still love sega. I loved my genesis far more than SNES,(not that snes wasnt the shit) and Dreamcast, The Ms and even game gear and saturn were fun. If things could go how i wanted, Sega would rise from the ashes and crush MS after much support and return to their proper seat amung Nintendo and Sony. Too bad atari cant do the same  :(

I won\'t miss Sega, they haven\'t given PS2 owners anything original to play with. I would have missed them if they have released a sonic game.....I want a sonic game damn it!

I wasnt really a big Sega fan.

Besides the Genisis, for some reason thats the only system before my 64 that sticks in my head. I liked it, dunno about you guys.

They havent really done a whole lot lately. some of their games were total drops, while otheres were quite good.

Hopefully they can make it, somehow.

I meant like original to the console, something new, not new as in new game . Gamecube gots 2 or some sonic games and one for ps2 doesnt sound that bad to me.

Sonic is indeed "original" compared to other platform games.
