Happy President\'s Day!
« on: February 17, 2003, 07:55:17 AM »
Well I\'m sure you\'ve all forgotten, but today is Presidents day, we honor our greats like Washington and Lincoln for their contributions to the great country of America.  Some other greats I feel deserve some mentioning are FDR and JFK as they led the country during hard times.

Well, Happy President\'s Day!!!!
\"In the last 12 months 100,000 private sector jobs have been lost and yet you\'ve created 30,000 public sector jobs. Prime Minister, you cannot carry on forever squeezing the productive bit of the economy in order to fund an unprecidented engorgement of the unproductive bit. You cannot spend your way out of recession or borrow your way out of debt.\" - Daniel Hannan

Is it just me, or did our presidents peak at #11?

Why do you say that shocky?

Mr. Manifest Destiny was only doing what the nation was expecting.  Granted, he was good, but not Washington or Lincoln good.

He was more honest, and he accomplished more in a shorter time than any other president we had.

FDR not only brought us out of Depression, but led us to victory in WWII.  His accomplishments were plentiful and in a long span of time.

Granted, he\'s good, but if were talking top ten I\'d say...

1. Lincoln
2. Washington
3. Franklin Roosevelt
4. JFK
5. Theodore Roosevelt
6. Thomas Jefferson
7. Andrew Jackson
8. James K. Polk
9. Woodrow Wilson
10. Ronald Reagan

Thats just my opinion.
