I used to do this to people all the time...

But i used 14 as the number to repeat in their head... you know..."14 CAROT gold"?

I dont know why it works with 6.

Carrot is a short simple word and read fast adn easily.Six is also short and read fast.It asks you to think quickly of a vegetable and you think of a carrot cause its the easiest word you can think of I think.
