sirmystiq, I think you\'ll learn that with age comes a certain amount of maturity.  Part of that maturity is the expanding of ones vocabulay, and a somewhat shunning of slang.  The problem with slang is that it changes from region to region, thus a smaller user base.  So  I don\'t think anyone on here purpously tries to use large words, in order to impress anyone.  It\'s just easier to converse in a language everyone understands and has the largest user base on these forums, and that would be ENGLISH, not ebonics.
