Anybody seen this movie series.

I got the set of DVD’s for my birthday and man these flicks are cool. I love movies based during this particular time period. I usually am not a fan of British anything if it doesn’t say 007 in the title but this is truly a good series of movies.

if you like Hornblower then get a hold of the Sharpe film series

its set in the same period but This one deals with an army Unit.

it has Sean Bean in it !

edit

deatils

Based on the novels by Bernard Cornwell, Sharpe (1993-7) ran to 14 full-length television films that follow the adventures of the titular soldier through the later years of the Napoleonic Wars. The programmes are an outstanding achievement for the small screen, dominated by Sean Bean\'s central performance as the heroic, troubled outsider who turns out to be a resourceful and loyal leader. Bolstered by a strong supporting cast, particularly Daragh O\'Malley as Harper and (in later episodes) Abigail Cruttenden as Jane, Sharpe is often visually striking, the action tense and gripping. Consistency is maintained by all 14 episodes being directed by Tom Clegg. --Gary S Dalkin

you have

Sharpe [1992]
Sharpe\'s Company [1994]
Sharpe\'s Enemy [1994]
Sharpe\'s Honour [1994]
Sharpe\'s Rifle
Sharpe\'s Eagle

Thanks man! I will say that these might be the next addition to my DVD collection. It’s such a shame that movies like these were never on the big screen.
