clowd, it\'s sad someone of age would consider what happened in nagasaki and hiroshimo "terrorism" and put it in the same class as what happened on 9/11

seriously, get a clue

There is a difference in being a coward and being smart.

As for Hiroshima and Nagasaki incidents,  that is terrorism.  Doing something to put fear in others in an effort force them to recognize and comply with your objectives is terrorism.

terrorism-The unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence by a person or an organized group against people or property with the intention of intimidating or coercing societies or governments, often for ideological or political reasons.

From http://www.dictionary.com

Notice it says "unlawful use"

Some of you keep mentioning Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Those were not the only cities attacked by the Allies. Just about every German city was bombed in WW2. Is that terrorism? Those cities had factories that built war machines for the Nazis. Hiroshima and Nagasaki also had naval bases as well as war factories. The two bombs were necessary since Japan was not willing to allow a ground invasion from the Allies. When they realized that ground invasion was not necessary at all.....they surrendered. Also, Russia declared war on Japan. And they feared Russian occupation more than US occupation.

Sarcasm is a show of ignorance. In this matter my friend you might want to understand what it means to walk a mile in a mans shoes befor you critisize the decision to drop the bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. I don\'t think that any man took pleasure in that decision. Besides, in war it is either them or us and we will do what it takes to be the last man standing just as any other nation would.

I wasn\'t intending to be sarcastic.  I said notice the unlawful part because it tells you whether Hiroshima was an act of terrorism or not.  If you think what the U.S. did was lawful then it wasnt terrorism.  If you think it was unlawful, as I do,  then it is terrorism.  The bombs were unecessary,  Japan was already defeated.  So the U.S. committed a terrorist attack to intimidate Japan into surrendering.   I\'d rather not use the word terrorist but what they did matches the definition.  So for the people who think the bomb was unlawful,  theres nothing wrong with calling what they did an act of terrorism.

btw,  I\'m not comparing/connecting this to 9-11,  sorry if I sent that idea out somehow.

My only mistake was commenting on clowds\' post thinking he had some sense of knowledge on the subject. However, I was wrong.
