This is a fast connection..
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/2822333.stm
Scientists have set a new internet speed record by transferring 6.7 gigabytes of data across 10,978 kilometres (6,800 miles), from Sunnyvale in the US to Amsterdam in Holland, in less than one minute

Television fed by the internet. PPV HD movies via BB. That would be sweet.

It seems Internet 2 will only be available for educational use & never for commercial use. We won\'t see this anytime soon unless we go to a university, but only to transfer to other universities.
We do need a new backbone though. I can\'t count how many sites I visit that are suffering from bandwidth problems and rising fees. That and the internet needs something new. Webpages are just getting... boring. There needs to be more interactivity and multimedia involved.

That\'s gotta be a HUGE amount of RAM for one computer to store coz there\'s no way my hard drive could write 6 gigs of data in 1 minute.
No way.
