This story is true, we are not going to be stocking them any more. All games have been reduced from £39.99 to £24.99 to clear out. The console is also down to £99 with a free game.  It is pretty sad but I honestly cannot remember the last time our shop sold a GC.

Whats wrong with it?
Bad sales?

I knew nintendo will eventually bomb out. If they were to release a quality Zelda game beforehand, it may have saved it.
Think for yourself. Question authority.

Man, if you can\'t make fun of England anymore, what can you make fun of?

Oh yeah, gay people.

The sad thing also is the huge delays on games for us in europe. Metroid prime still has not been released over here.

Canadians...

Oh wait...

Its been like that forever...
July 2002: If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. Enron, $16.50 left. Worldcom, $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

quality Zelda

What is wrong with the current Zelda comin\' out? And it is narrow-minded to believe that one game can save a system.

This is really a shame.  Nintendo used to be invincible.

This is just further reason to expect Nintendo to push for 2005 for its next system.  Even if 2006 would seem more likely.

I\'m a little depressed.... Because this means that GC is on it\'s way down the Dreamcast road.  The one good thing is that in a year I\'ll be able to pick upa GC for 50 bucks :D

I don\'t think that GameCube is the next Dreamcast (unless you\'re talking about game quality ;)) but I am disappointed that such a powerful company continues to ignore key parts of the market. Europeans have been neglected. Online play.. neglected. There are now rumors that Mario Kart isn\'t online; if true, Nintendo just officially pissed me off (read: diehard Nintendo fan here) and that\'s not good considering how I\'ve liked their decisions to date.

Nintendo has to spend some money! Forget about constant profit, Big N.. you have to lose money to stay in the game! Sow the seeds of success by buying exclusive rights to game franchises.. by besting Xbox Live!

If it\'s not too late, you may reap the rewards. People will flock to the \'Cube.
