I tried the demo out. I must say I was quite impressed with the amount of partiacle effects, explosions and what not goin\' on screen. No slowdown in the demo what-so ever. The battles was quite abit more intense.

With that said, I bought the first one and was completely let down. The battles was borin\', the story was annoying...

Will I get this one? I am leaning towards probably. It seemed like a marked improvement. But still, I think a lot of people didn\'t care for ZOE and won\'t give ZOE 2 a passing glance.

When I first saw it...I thought it was an Xbox game only to realized the PS2 is running next to it...guess that goes to show how good looking this game is. :)

Yeah, I\'m like LIC on ZOE. Didn\'t find it to be fun really. Neither was MGS2 SOL imo. Seems the way the Kojima team makes games these days\', just ain\'t my kind of liking :crap:  While I could delve hours and hours into MGS\'s world....
Btw, anyone noticed how Dingo Egret, the new frame runner looks like a total remake of Raiden, down to the details on that "skullsuit" of his. They really wanna shove that "long blonde haired hero" thing down our ..ahhum... PS2\'s huh ?

I haven\'t played ZOE so I can\'t say much about this game from personal experience. Though, from the reviews here and elsewhere, the impression I got was, okay game that fell WAY short (in more ways then one). Length wise, it was too short, and the battles were too repetitive. Gameplay wise I heard, was fine, minus the two issues mentioned.

Those problems have NOT gone unnoticed by Konami from what I gather from the interviews. Those problems that most people complained about ZOE1 has been adressed in ZOE2. Its longer, less repetitive battles, and more boss fights (which is one of the things ZOE1 had that most people believe to be the best). Whether thats enough or not, up to the player.

Now, will ZOE1\'s problems hurt ZOE2\'s sales? Possible. But, given the many improvements (graphics of coarse, as well as gameplay and game length) I think it will sell well on its own.

I am buying this game for sure.I ve playied ZOE1 but felt short and repetitive.3 kinds of enemies that could be destroyied almost identically.
It wasnt like DMC with many kinds of enemies with each having to be beaten with different technic
But the fighting mechanics showed great potential for the sequel. No other mech game has a fighting scheme as good looking or feeling as ZOE\'s.
This time they have improved it, added many kinds of enemies, improved the story line, made it last longer, added more extras, and if u want to know more about the sequel\'s improvements head in IGN and read the forums.
This is how ZOE should have been from the beginning. The perfect anime style inspired mech game I can buy IMO.

Just got it! With a brand new PS2. :)

The above quote pretty much sums it up. This is exactly what I expected the first ZOE to be. The presentation and graphics are excellent, and everything seems to flow much better. The main character, Dingo Egret, is a much better main character than Leo Stenbuck was. And the small design changes they\'ve made to Jehuty and Anubis are nice.

Great game so far. Gotta get back to playin\'.

As it appears, which Konami have said it themselves, the problems that plagued ZOE have, for the most part, been adressed in ZOE2. I will probably pick this game up someday.

I bought the first and at first it was the tightest thing ever. It was exactly what i wanted from a mecha type game. Fast but easily controled, nice close combat and good dodging moves, (makes ya feel that you could do something that little people could or something you didnt know you had in you). I was so absorbed in that whole thing that i just too the story so seriously where i didnt really get to bored, except the part where your just looking and looking for the way to get into the second station. Once i played it again i caught on but now that the new one is out im pretty damn excited. I was pretty awestruck when there were no topics on this one too. ~ Cant wait for a more in depth review~

We need a good review from one of you guys.  i will trust your judgement.  when I watched the movie for ZOE2, I pretty much decided that I was going to buy it.  But lately, the games tha I anticipated to be friggin awesome have somewhat dissapointed me, so I\'m waiting to hear what you have to say before I go out and waist my money on something worthless.

No doubts with ZOE2, MPTheory... Lose them all now. ZOE2 is such a mass improvement over the last game, it\'s so fuggin\' fun. Just wait \'til you get to the massive battle later on in the game... It\'s you, and a bunch of LEVs against like 100 Raptors and other various OFs. It\'s insane! The enemies don\'t take turns to whoop your ass like in the last game, they\'ll stab you in the back if you let them. That\'s where the the grab feature really shines, the way you can knock one OF back, grab them, then start using them to defend yourself from enemy attack and/or use them as weapons is just brilliant. I love this game.

My only complaint: Cutscenes are a bit too frequent and long for my liking. They disrupt the flow of the game sometimes. Nice to watch though.

thats cool man.  thanks.  it\'s good to hear that about the game.  I\'ll probably go and pick this one up soon (Or do a trade in).  I\'ll get rid of some of those crappy games for this one.  Oh, BTW, I love cut scenes man! :)
