It would better if they were implementing limits on how much bandwidth could be used by single person per month. If a person went past that, he or she was simply shut off until the next month began.

That would me much better then to put students in jail.

I bet every single one of you has a hint of piracy on it. they cant jail every computer user. Its pathetic.

Music Artists need to learn that they joined the music industry for their talent, for what they enjoy doing. Not for cash. Everything is obsessed with cash now a days.

A lot of people I know will download a few song from a certain artist, and if they like more then one song, they will buy the albumn.  Actually, i know lots of people that do that.  It kind of makes sense too.  Who wants to spend 20 bucks for one good song.  Which brings me to another point.  Back about 5 years ago, When I would buy an albumn, I liked nearly every song on the albumn.  NIN-Downward spiral, Green Day-Dookie, Incubus-science... I could go on for awhile, (Those were just the first to come to mind).  But now, with the exception of a few, the songs that are released on the radio are pretty much the only good songs on the artists albumn.  Which is sad.  I cant stand filler man.

I ususaly download one or 2 songs and if I like it I buy the disk......sort of like renting......  Audio pircay has been around since Tapes.  I used to tape songs from the radio when I was a kid.......noone whined about it back then becuase there was no internet and MP3 technology back then all there was were .wav which had crappy audio!

I Download songs if i cant find the albumn in stores, if they dont make it any more, or if i want to check out a band... I Buy a CD every time i go to the mall though, so the music industry can shut its pie hole :-P

If they would just open up their eyes, they would see that its more of an advertisment tool then anything.  Yes, some people do nothing but take advantage, but hey, those are the people that probably wouldnt buy an albumn anyway.  So there really is no loss.  I guy plenty of CD\'s to make up for the few songs that I download.  I just refuse to spend my hard earned money on crap.  I have no problem paying for a good albumn.

Couldn\'t have said it better myself.  Mostly it\'s not artists though it\'s recording studios that make their $$$ by charging musicians $10 for a CDR.  Now how is that legal?
