Lets try to get this rolling again ;)

First major upset last night - those funny Ducks swept Detroit, even though I hate the Wings, that came as quite a shock

They are truly feeling the absence of Scotty Bowman & Hasek.

I am personally rooting for Either Toronto or Edmonton... gotta let the peeps who built the game win a cup now and then....

(though I didn\'t watch any games last night, so I don\'t know if they are out or not...)

In other hockey news... New Buffalo Sabres owner is considering going back to the old school jerseys!

At least those jerseys aren\'t as nasty as the old Canuck jerseys.  The only game besides the Detroit game that was worth noting was the Toronto - Philly game which went to 3 OT\'s.  Philly pulled it on a goal by Recchi.  Belfour was pretty damn good in stopping 67 or so shots.

*yawn*

Being the die hard Red Wings fan that I am, I think I speak for us all when I say that Curtis Joseph is trash.

**** you, Curtis Joseph, and the horse you rode in on.

See Yuz.
What do Kerry Wood, Mark Prior, Matt Clement, and Carlos Zambrano have in common?

They\'re the pieces to the next great pitching rotation of our time, what else?

GO CUBS!

You know, he really didn\'t play all that poorly.  He\'s just the easy one to blame.  If you ask me, it was your offense that didn\'t pull its weight.

Then why are you posting in here?

Thats really trivial to post in a thread dedicated to hockey, when not being a fan of it yourself.

This year I am gonna stick with the season. I have been blowing off my Minnesotan hockey duties for a while. I must WATCH HOCKEY!!11

Im rooting for all of the teams. I want to get into the groove and really get some good games in.

Go MINNESOTA! (btw: havent they changed their name to the Minnesota Wilds?)
Think for yourself. Question authority.

As for you chizz... I sure hope toronto doesn\'t win.. I\'m hopting for a 7 game loss so that they and philly can tirelthemselves out on each otehrs\'s simillar style\'s.  Hacky-shalshy-no-talent hocky is all the leafs and flyers put out these days.

Yeah that neutral zone trap style makes the game boring.  The Devils are the biggest culprits.

Anyway Hurricane, why post here?  I absolutely hate basketball and I didn\'t go post in that thread.  ;)

Spudz, it is the Minnesota Wild.  They are playing the Avalanche now and are down 3 games to 1 with game 5 being played on Saturday.

As far as Detroit goes... the team as we know it now won\'t be back next year.  If Yzerman doesn\'t retire Federov will not be resigned.  With their early exit they have lost somewhere close to 70 million dollars.  It won\'t be a fire sale like what happened in Pittsburgh this year, but a lot of the imported talent will not be back.  I think the most valid example of that is the Luc Robitaille.

I am going tonight to the Lightning/Capitals game.  Only second game I\'ve gone to this year.  Should be fun.

Lightning kicked major Capital Ass!!!

Woo dog...

I had 8th rwo seats right behind the net. IT was great because I was on the side where Lightning scored twice and the capitals scored.

Awesome night. Just hope they can win on Sunday.   Although my bank account won\'t like it if they go too much further.
