Got the DVD today and just got through watching it.  I really liked it.  Not quite that scary, it was filmed very well.  Watching the deleted scenes was sort of amusing as in one it showed a ton of wreckage on a bridge and then the camera pans over and the normal London traffic can be seen in the next lane bypassing the props.

This film really reminded me of Day of the Dead, especially concerning the army camp and "zombie" they have chained up there... sort of like "Bub" (its been so long since I have seen Day of the Dead, but I think thats the zombies name that they kept around for research).  Thank God, they deleted some of the scenes as on one alternate scene they had a hundred zombies invade the compound at towards the end... reminded me of resident evil and the Dead series.

Well worth owning and now my neighbors envy me ;)

Glad the DVD played fine for you.  And I\'m also glad you enjoyde the movie.

If you actually enjoyed importing that, you may want to look into other titles also Giga. I don\'t think you realize the scope of things. Go to other sites such as http://www.hkflix.com and look around. There are a lot of uncut non-region 1 titles and what not. Not to mention the fact that there is simply a lot of movies that we will never see on our side, that are excellent...provided you don\'t mind subtitles.

If I may recommend one, with subtitles...Battle Royale! An excellent, excellent film. Xploitedcinema.com and HkFlix.com both stock that one.

I will check it out... I know you all are into the anime thing, but that isn\'t for me.  However, I do check out what ever else people in this forum recommend.  If anyone has problems with their DVD player converting PAL to NTSC - the Philips 727 works flawlessly and its under $90.00.

Battle Royale isn\'t anime. It\'s a live action film.

I Thought it was one of the best movies I\'ve seen in a while, now, zombie movies arn\'t really realistic usualy but I thought what made this movie great was how all the characters reacted in that type of enviroment, it did a good job of showing human nature.
It was a darkness all my own, a song played on the radio, It went straight to my heart - I carried it with me - until the darkness was gone.

I thought it was decent. The idea behind the movie was good but they could have made it better. I wouldn\'t really call it a horror movie either - it wasn\'t scary.
