Big Brother UK and Africa
« on: July 03, 2003, 10:57:43 AM »
OK, I guess there are a bunch of Big Brothers going on right now includign Australia as well.

I watched an episode of the UK version and I saw a bit of the African version this morning.

They are very boring.

Is this on nightly?

I watched the UK one where they got a horse.

The US version is only on a couple times a week and I guess because they can feed off more material it is far more entertaining.  I dunno, maybe I just saw a bad episode.  I need to watch a few more I guess.

Oh yeah, I guess they sent a dude from the UK group to the African house.  Are they doing the opposite as well?

Ours starts I think on Monday, or sometime next week.

It is on every day yes. There is even a channel where you can watch it virtually 24 hours a day!  A guy from Africa also came to the UK for a few days although they have switched back now.

The first evictee from the UK BB house has just entered the Aussie BB house in the hopes of spicing things up there.

The US one is a lot better, but I really think it\'s just because it\'s not nightly.  When the first Big Brother happened it totally bombed because they had it on every night and it sizucked.

The other two have been a ton better.  I mean it\'s mindless television, but it is definitely better when it is on every couple of days.

The problem lies with the people they pick to go in the house.

If they chose say a priest and a satanist (just an extreme example) it\'d be a lot more interesting than a gay scottish guy in denial, a woman obsessed with blusher and a fit blonde with absolutely f*ck all personality.

Just look at the Dutch example, they put in anyone and get brilliant results.

Channel 4 have been getting worried about falling viewing figures and lack of interest, that\'s because it\'s actually more interesting to watch the God channel because of their poor contestant picking.

Bring back John Tickle, a man so boring he was interesting!

true

i was thinking the other day how much money chanel 4 will actually make out of this - it must be a massive ammount
they charge lik 40p a text - and thats just a poll to see who u _think_ will be evicted, then you can "liten live" to the house - who the hell would pay money to do that!! =][

The UK one sucks, it sucks so bad that we (Australia) now have the first evictee from the current series (UK) in our house as an intruder/guest. The UK one is so boring, I have seen bits of it on UK TV and I have to say it sucks.

The Australian one is so much better, I think this series (#3) is the best yet. The people are more real, more interesting and just overall more fun.

The secret to an entertaining house has to be adding nutters and more alcohol.

They also need to stop blanking the sound out every two minutes, it kind of defies their whole claim of seeing everything when you\'re still at the mercy of an editing man with delicate sensibilities.

Although people would start sueing everybody if that was allowed, the compensation culture is turning this world into an insane mess of tossers and lawyers.

Well I have seen some episodes of Australia floating on the net so maybe I\'ll try to see it.  We don\'t get any other big brothers here in the states.

Does the US have its own Big Brother?

I\'ve been hearing about the African, Australian and UK ones the most.

I think we are on Big Brother 4.  It starts this coming week.

Looks like the other three big brothers started at the same time a month and a half ago.

New just in!!!!!!!!!

The UK Big Brother live eviction show that should be on now has been cancelled due to a bomb scare.

LMAO

Looks like the live on air voting has been fuxored then. Maybe they will do it on another day instead.
