Hey, just because I don\'t believe in the christian faith doesn\'t mean im not interested in it.
It was a darkness all my own, a song played on the radio, It went straight to my heart - I carried it with me - until the darkness was gone.

A movie is about entertainment, if I wanted to learn something I\'d go to the library and rent a National Geographic video.

So a movie about something "authentic" can\'t be entertainment, a movie?

I didn\'t say that, maybe I came across wrong, a movie doesn\'t have to be 100% factual and true to entertain me, I enjoy watching National Geographic type documentaries all the time as long as I have the time and its interesting

They cant find anyone to distribute it because they made the movie so accurate that most of it is not even in english..... AND they were opposed to using subtitles!

Now you are mixing up the belief of the spirituality behind Jesus Christ, and the actual, historically-proven existence of Jesus Christ. And yes, he was nailed into a cross - another non-fictional fact which doesn\'t change no matter where you stand.

So, yes, large part of the film might be fictional - but the whole concept isn\'t. Jesus DID exist. But DID he exist as the son of God? My own, personal belief says that he WASN\'T the son of God, but I will not go and claim that he DID not exist AT ALL.

Oh, and the trailer does look awesome... Finally a movie I can go to see with my grandfather ( who is a very religious person ) :)

On a documentry I saw they said that the feet being nailed would give enough support to allow the hands to hold without tearing.

^^^^Heard the same thing. If someone was nailed by the hands alone then it would not work but the hands AND the feet is enough to support someone\'s body weight.

True that Gohan, if it should be accurate, Jesus would most likely have to be portrayed as a rather short dark-skinned man with short, curly hair. He\'d prolly look much like the \'average\' Middle Eastern man.

That\'s very true. More failures for a movie that hasn\'t even been released :D

Well, Mel Gibson didn\'t necessarily go for minute detail in every single aspect in order to be as accurate as possible. Perhaps he wanted to show Jesus in the way that the most people are used to... we don\'t know that.

Sammy, if he wanted to be so accurate that he didn\'t insert the subtitles.. the first thing he had had to do is a cast to chose a good Jesus, IMO.
