I\'ve been a fan of Bobby Darin for a long time now and I think his Wild Cool & Swingin album is one of the best records ever made.

Other oldies: sinatra, bennett, elvis, 50-60s oldies, james brown, isley bros.

Pink Floyd
Jimi Hendrix
Led Zepplin
The Beatles
John Lennon
The Doors
The Four Tops
The Temptations
Kate Bush

The list goes on and on.

However - what defines old? Is the 80\'s old? Maybe the 70\'s? And what about the 40\'s? Ah, the damn paradox!

;)

The Temptations
Al Green
Marvin Gaye
The Spinners
The Delfonics
The Chi-Lites
The Stylistics
Curtis Mayfield
Earth Wind and Fire <<<< Easily my favorite

I don\'t have any particular favorite song from any except for a few from EWF. These are the groups in my old school mp3 collection and the people I always look for when making a mix CD.

[Edit] How could I forget The Godfather of Soul James Brown AND the O\'Jays?

Most any classic rock, I guess. 60\'s, 70\'s, some 80\'s, some 90\'s.

I don\'t listen to most modern music, though. 90\'s alternative/rock, death metal, 80\'s-90\'s heavy metal, country.. anything that relates to goths.. all mostly foreign to my preferences.
