Hey kids, what\'s the easiest way to get on TV? Clue: it doesn\'t involve queuing up for hours so you can pour shame on your entire family with an atonal rendition of \'Danny Boy\'. Well, this time last year your best bet would have been hanging around on street corners, generally being a bit of a nuisance and eventually a concerned-looking BBC camera crew would arrive to do a scaremongering piece about feral children. But thankfully the arrival of EyeToy has enabled the nation\'s youth to appear on the box without risking a court-imposed curfew.

EyeToy isn\'t just for the nation\'s youth, though. Thanks to its techno-trickery, the entire family can enjoy the 12 mini-games included with the wondrous device. Which partly explains why the peripheral has been such a roaring success. Sony announced today that over a million of the devices are perched in European homes right now, gazing unblinkingly as PS2 owners flail at invisible ninjas, soapsuds and fireworks.

The success of EyeToy seems certain to continue with the release of EyeToy: Groove in November, boasting 25 licensed tracks, including Liberty X, Sugababes and, erm... The Cheeky Girls. The same month also sees EyeToy arrive in America, with Japan getting in on the act in February. As the number of users explodes we can expect to see the technology incorporated into more mainstream games. The future\'s bright, and it\'s staring right at you.

Yawwn.I ve seen it...interesting if you want to try something original but I dont think its a game you ll play for a long time.Its mainly for Kids IMO.

You can get into THUG by emailing a photo to Activision, I think. Only on PS2, though. However they\'re doing it, you don\'t need the EyeToy.

Personally, my digital camera had these "original" EyeToy games as screensavers when I got it a couple years ago.

It\'s cute enough, but it\'d be better served if they can somehow find a way to use it in a real game.

As it stands, I\'m surprised they moved as many as they did.
