You\'d think with Linda Perry and Rancid\'s Tim Armstrong she could actually dish out something decent. Not that I was expecting much, but her last album was pretty impressive.

Yeah, I lost any respect I had for rancid a long time ago.
It was a darkness all my own, a song played on the radio, It went straight to my heart - I carried it with me - until the darkness was gone.

Hey, I\'ll be the first to admit, her \'Misunderstood\' album was actually pretty good. If you haven\'t listened to it in its entirety then I suggest you do.

\'Try This\' on the other hand sounds nothing like her previous album. The songs really, really suck.

geez, whats wrong with Pink? Does liking music by artists other then Marilyn Manson make you a fag.

Get a grip. Its not as though she\'s friggen Nicky Webster (now how many of you will admit to knowing one of HER songs?)

I\'m glad she decided what she did... ie, to ignore the mainstream, and just make the music she wanted.  She already said in interviews that she knew it prolly wouldn\'t be popular, but that she didn\'t want to be "popular" if she had to keep her old style.

Cheers to Pink for her stance against pop culture.  Jeers for mm\'s closemindedness to everything in the universe.

Its not so much the music itself, but the lyrics.

In one song, the entire chorus is "You ain\'t nothin but a hooker, selling your f*cking soul". It just repeats and repeats and repeats. Its totally whacked. Its good she\'s following her heart and doing what she wants, but she has to remember the idea is to sell records.

Is it?  Or is music a way of expressing yourself? -- one that can be lucrative if you have music that people like, or ideas that they like to hear.

I think the best music is not made for money, but made for the music.

Yeah, I totally agree, but it still doesn\'t stop it from being whacked.

Just take a listen to it and I think you will all agree. It sounds like she whipped it up in 2 hours.
