ORIGINAL CNN ARTICLE
Summary:
A prototype of a cell supercomputer made the top 100 supercomputer list in the world... using the same tech for the PS3. It\'s about the size of a TV - 2 trillion calculations per second.

READ the article.. or at the LEAST my summary.
This is a supercomputer, not the PS3 prototype. It\'s simply interesting cause it uses cell tech... and a TV sized supercomputer is one of the top 100 in the world. It\'s impressive.

See how many PS2\'s fit in 1 tv, then devide those 2 trillion calculations p/sec by that number = PS3 performance

Depends on the size of TV, of course, but I came up roughly with 10-20 billion calcs per sec. Of course, that\'s incredibly unrealistic, since the whole system is setup as a supercomputer, but the numbers still bode well for the PS3.
