Its not necessarily about filling the available voids, its just about having some personality. Those "Ugh I\'m pissed" threads and Racer\'s shower ordeal is what makes these boards great.

As much as I hate to say this.....

Agree\'d.

At this point I\'m more concerned with what you would classify my "posting style" as...

Let me guess, \'snobbish, elite bastard\'?
;)

As for posting style and you wanting to be a moderator, I get a kick out of this post..

I\'m outta here. This place is definately at an all-time low. Everyone is conforming to this whole new bullshit approach and OT, the only place worth posting at before, is now as lame as the Suggestions forum. I mean upon my return I\'m looking through thread after thread and they\'re all just boring conversations with the same two or three people repeating the obvious.

Good luck with this new approach. Quite frankly from some people I talk to they think its lame as well and that all it does is axe the fun factor. Some mods are so sensitive to spam its frightening. You guys really haven\'t been to other gaming boards have you? Because if so, then you would realize that even the days when OT is at its spammiest, its pretty damn clean in comparison to other places. Its f*cking ridiculous how serious you take spam, and it seems like its always the same small selected few that complain about it. I bet if we actually had a majority vote of the regular members, and not the ALL-POWERFUL mods then it would show that no one gives a shit about the small and petty accounts of spam.

If you want serious discussions so god damn much go to someplacesomewhere.com or some shit. These are PS2 boards! A magnet for horny teenagers, men that can\'t get laid, and geeks of all various types! Hello?!?! What the f*** do you expect?

The only thing that really hurts about leaving is having to pull out of the Madden league, I had alot of fun with that, but I doubt I\'ll be able to continue seeing that I\'m starting to absolutly despise these boards and alot of people that run it.

Actually... I don\'t really hate anyone here. Everyone brings their own unique deck of cards to the table and thats what made OT so special. This week I\'ve been gone has made everyone blur in together so really you didn\'t know who was who anymore unless you read the username and noted the avatar. OT was about fun, and spam is so incredibly overrated.

Ryu has definately been the thorn in my side since day one. The very first thing I posted, he was there to make things hell, all the way to my final post I\'m sure. He places himself upon his almighty pedestal all the time, and talks down to everybody. Apparently its his way or the highway, this place has no sense of democracy whatsoever. In fact thats one of the biggest flaws here at these boards. The other boards I post at, and probably will remain at from here on out, have a bustling suggestions forum where there are live discussions on changes and adjustments to the forums, this way all members have say in it.

I personally like Ryu\'s final blow to reseting my post count and then permanently altering my title. "Never funny"... according to you, your majesty. Most people did find me funny and did enjoy my posts. But its all up to the king right? I guess so.

Its too late to give any shoutouts, the cool people know who they are and I\'ll always be on AIM (FearTheRedHead).

:D

Who would of guessed? A former spammer, like Gman and Titan turning to the other side. Now encourages posts that make people noticable and memorable.. Ah, yes, you\'ve been converted my tool...errr.. son .

I remember how overjoyed I felt when I read that post, SwifDi, and I must say, it makes me laugh now more than anything else.  It\'s just proof that superfluous features don\'t make a member great -- it\'s the posts and how they contribute to the forum that makes them memorable and likeable.

Take your new self for example, basically how LiC described you above and I must say, this new you is much more fun and likeable then the old you.  It\'s true that I\'m not much on religion or people running their lives based on it, but hey, that\'s a choice we all have to make one day and it\'s clear you made yours and I hope you\'re perfectly happy with that decision.  I\'m just glad it\'s changed you for the better rather then into some evangelist prick.  :)

Thats the thing I\'ve learned Ryu, just to chime in when it counts and not turn everything into my own personal parade. I guess you can credit it to simply growing up and getting tired of who I used to be.

And seriously I know we have some kind of archives forum of the sort, I bet there is tons of good stuff in there. Particularly all the "Ugh.. I\'m pissed" threads.

Well since this is the suggestions forum...

I suggest that we do what a majority of the other forums do and open the archive forum to the public... Of course the forum itself is closed and there is no further discussion, just so that we can read them for a little bit of nostalgia. :)

There actually is no archives forum, but there are forum topics that are achived -- namely those that are game specific which serve no purpose then to discuss a particular game.  After that, all the old threads, up to the last forum crash, for off-topic and the main forum are readily available through the search.  There\'s no old-ass forum topic out there somewhere other then the wall o\' shame which is where certain topics end up that turn inanely stupid from noobies who were banned outright.  Not worth reading, just a log of who has been here before and why they were banned.

What\'s so interesting about posts that are nothing but links to warez / or why someone was banned?
Trust me, it\'s not interesting.

Yeah, it\'s no big deal.

ANd like Ryu said, archives are for boards that have a heck of a lot more activity.  You can find any thread done over the past couple of years since the last crash.
