120 gig hard drive for 60 bucks
« on: December 15, 2003, 10:49:35 AM »
I was walking around Circuit City the other day and they had a 120 gig hard drive for I think it was 129.  Then they had 70 bucks in rebates. Came out to like 60 bucks.

Had to snag one. Should have snagged two, but I already had a 120 in my system.

Anyway, just a heads up if you guys was a new drive for cheap.

Makes me think about 10 years ago when gigabyte drives were finally coming down and I paid 400 for mine.  That\'s a $500,000 drive I bought for 60 bucks.  heh..
I wear a necklace now because I like to know when I\'m upside down.

same, seagate hds rock. Although others swear by WD, even Maxtor. blahh.

Still i\'ve never had a problem with a Seagate harddrive. Maxtor get alot of returns.

I\'ve owned many a HDs, and maxtors were the only ones that gave me problems.  Only 1 that ever failed on me was a maxtor in fact.  Glad they\'ve been working out for you though.  When\'s the last time you ran a seagate?

Before my Maxtor. :)

But I was just teasing SoulGrind. I\'ve owned Maxtor, Seagate and IBM. Neither of them have ever given me any trouble at all.

ITs a western Digital.  I went back yesterday and they didn\'t ahve any more at that price.  THey had a new rack of a ton of HDs, but even the 80 gig was more than what I paid for the 120.  There was another one there.  I should have probably bought it too.

you like teasing me, you dirty little sammy.

I\'m gonna get a new HD sometime, right now its no biggy. I\'ll get another seagate or WD, probably a 120 gig, not sure of the rpm though, 7200rpm or over. I\'ll be building a server comp when i go back on my broadband. which WILL be early next year.. woot.  Found a company that has unlimted time and downloads on month by month contract.. Although i\'ll only have 30kbytes (256kbits) a sec download. which keeps it at 30usd, i could pay 50usd and get a 64kbytes (512kbits) connection. but 30kbytes is more then enough for me. Although i could go the 1.5mbit connection, but that\'ll cost 75usd a month. Screw that.

I will get another USB drive eventually. Probablly a 120 gig , for my p0rn. As it is, I have around 60 gigs of the stuff and pretty soon I\'ll be running into a space problem. I refuse to delete any of it though.
