Bah, too bad for New Zealanders.. but I suspect the game will be even more popular thanks to this.

Hmm, maybe I should try and smuggle a car full of Manhunt games and sell them for $100 each. :)

Oh well, its only New Zealand...

Hmm, its doubtfull that they\'ll get a re-coded version because they get the Australian versions over there I think.

lol.. Sucks to be in NZ. Even the GTA3 recode can be easily passed. Just have you OS region code set to USA, and wella. Your in rooting heaven.  As for GTA:VC  I got the version that was unaltered. :)

i didn\'t think VC was alterted for Australia, just #3. I know Manhunt in AUST at present is in its entirety, and I hope it stays that way.

I thought Aussie and Kiwi were a bit more liberal than the US. Again, my perception of those two places are wrong. Except that part that they\'re upside down from my point of view. One jolt from mother Earth, all the Aussies and Kiwis will float off into space.

Yes it is too bad for NZ but I was never interested in this game.  Now if the started banning games like MGS i would be angry.

No, the only thing missing was the prostitute that you sleep with in #3 and then shoot her, it was like the 3 second FMV sequence, no gameplay was removed.

Aussie\'s and NZ\'ers are pretty liberal, pretty similar to the USA. I was however shocked when I first went to the USA at the things they were allowed to advertise on TV (like medical devices etc) at like 3 in the afternoon. I remember seeing an ad for a penis pump for men with erectile disfunction and I was like WTF, there is no way that would be allowed to be on Australian TV before 10 at night.

Anyway, Manhunt is a great game. I just wish Australia would intruduce an R18+ classification for games so that things like this wouldn\'t get banned. If retailers enforced ratings (and there were high penalities for retailers who didn\'t) then it would work.

Anyway, its easy for NZ\'ers to just import it from Australia if they really want it so I don\'t see how it makes a difference.

WTF channel were you watching?  The USA is EXTREMELY conservative in commercials compared to Europe.  I have never seen a penis pump commercial on any channel ever.  Girls gone wild is about as bad as it gets for commercials in the US and that is no big whoop.
