Legend of Zelda: Collector\'s Edition
« on: December 20, 2003, 03:43:12 PM »
So Nintendo released a Legend of Zelda Gamecube compilation available with a subscription to Nintendo Power, registering a couple Nintendo developed Cube games, or by getting (I think) a new Cube.

It has in full:
The Legend of Zelda
The Legend of Zelda II: Adventure of Link
The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time
The Legend of Zelda: Majora\'s Mask

20 minute demo:
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

Also:
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker Video
The Legend of Zelda: Entire Series Footage Video

As a kid, I borrowed Zelda for NES once and didn\'t stick with it even to the first castle.  But now that I know how it\'s become a classic, I\'m playing through it. I\'m looking for Level 5 right now.

I\'ll even try Zelda II when I\'m done, even though we all know that game\'s reputation.

Plus, I\'ve never played Majora\'s Mask and that\'s supposed to be great, too.  This disk will do more than hold me over until Christmas. :)

Anyone else into it? How about relaying stories from your experience with the first Zelda game on NES?

It was a while ago that I beat the first Zelda for the first time.

I remember liking the non-linear aspect of it among many other things.. but frankly I can\'t describe it much. It has to be played to be understood, really.. so it\'s hard to explain. It was cool getting a new sword and everything..

Eh, see? There was so much in the game and it was too long ago for me to remember my exact emotions. :) All I know is, when I was 6 years old I used to idolize Link and I\'d always ask my parents for a sword and shield. We even got a boomerang, and I tried my best to carry around supplies with me, just like Link. Lots of imagination.

Wow, Blade.

Heh.

I tell ya what.  This game had to have been hard for little kids.  I\'m having trouble with it now. I\'ve been getting help whenever I\'m stuck for too long.  I wouldn\'t have been able to do that when it first come out unless I made mommy buy a strategy guide.

Needless to say, it\'s fun as hell.

I told my friend about it and he got all excited telling me how he could never find level 7 and stuff.

I\'ll probably get it jsut because I lent my Majora\'s Mask to a friend and then moved away without asking for it back. I miss Gorrom/Gollum/whatever those rock things were called rolling.
Who is this anamoly we call Jumpman? How is he able to do what he does and still survive after years of torment? It seems he feeds on the hate, growing with an intense passion to put unassuming members in their place.

Capcom: $20 for the bonus disc? Wow.

So you didn\'t have enough games/systems to register with MyNintendo, eh? Mine\'s coming soon, for free.

Not that it\'s not worth $20 for 4 classics (two of them not all that out of date) but free always > $20. :)

I wish I had known about that option. I have way more than enough. Hope atleast.

Free is better than 20. Kicks own self over not reading more on the site.

A select number of games are available to register: Mario Kart:DD, Mario Party 5, M&L:Superstar Saga, and 1080 Avalanche. I have the three Mario games and all three of Nintendo\'s currently marketed consoles.

I\'m not sure exactly how much you\'re supposed to have. Maybe just the GCN alone..
