How quickly we forget last year.

New York Jets beat Indy at home 41-0 on Wild Card Weekend. The very next game, they go out to Oakland to face the AFC West Champs, and while they got built up to be untouchable, the comparisons about Pennington and Montana flying due to them dismantling a good Colts team, Oakland was preparing, and beat the Jets by 2 TD\'s I believe it was.

Now, the Colts beat a team 41-10 against a team that had previously beaten them 2 weeks ago. Everyone\'s touting Manning as the man that should\'ve gotten the entire MVP award (what IS a co-MVP, exactly, anyway?), and now we got people tryin\' to compare him to the record that Steve Young set in the Super Bowl. Meanwhile, the Chiefs are rested up, gettin\' players healthy, and preparing for a team that isn\'t much different from themselves.

Sound Familiar?

What do Kerry Wood, Mark Prior, Matt Clement, and Carlos Zambrano have in common?

They\'re the pieces to the next great pitching rotation of our time, what else?

#1 passing attack vs. #29 defense... ouch...

Alright boys, here\'s the X Factor. Goes by the name of Mike Maslowski.

Chiefs Run Defense with Maz - 130 ypg
Chiefs Run Defense w/o Maz - 191 ypg

Keep in mind that Maz has been out since, welp, you guessed it, before the Broncos Dabacle in Denver. Now, what was the Chiefs Record with Maz, then, well, they\'re 11-1. Without Maz, they\'re 2-2, and looked awful in those two losses. I firmily believe that the Chiefs chances hinge on Maz\'s health going into the game.

As for the #1 Pass Offense vs. the #29 Defense...the Chiefs are in the middle of the pack as far as Pass Defense goes (19th I believe it is). Not saying a lot, but consider the fact that the Patriots only have the 16th best Pass Defense, and that\'s a bit of an argument. Coupled with the fact that the Chiefs obviously rely on Maz as part of the running game defensively, and the fact that the Chiefs have won 13 at home, and you have yourself an interesting game.

Oh, and uh, the Chiefs have a pretty good Offense the last time I checked, as well :)

Haha, no my friend, he would be the starting Middle Linebacker for the Kansas City Chiefs. The Best Defensive Player that NOBODY has heard of. Has the best motor on the Chiefs Defense, is probably the best defensive player we got overall.

You\'re goona find out who he is on Sunday, I can guarantee :)

Chiefs vs. Eagles in the superbowl

Eagles slipped up against San Fran, but they got the loss out of their system.  The longer the win streak, the closer you are to a loss, and New England is NOT ready to continue their streak against a series of GOOD teams.

By the way, how has Shawn Barber been treating you guys?

If you don\'t consider Tennessee, Denver, Miami, Dallas, and Indianapolis good teams, what are?

We have sorely missed Maz the past what..... 5 weeks or so.  He runs the defense, they look lost out there when he\'s not in his MLB position barking out commands to the defense.  For those not in the know, Maz had 162 tackles last year breaking the club record.

Chiefs are undefeated at home this year going up against one of the best road teams in the league.  A high scoring game would not surprise me.... neither would a Chiefs victory.

Where did all the bandwagon fans go now?

If the Chiefs are gonna win, its gonna be because of Priest Holmes and that OLine, not Mike Masloski.  Harrison>anybody on Chiefs defense

Thanks for stating the obvious, Scott (about Harrison).

Not sure if the Chiefs are dumb enough to fall for what Denver did last Sunday, but I already gave my case up for Maslowski. It\'s your choice to buy it or not, but I\'m telling you that he\'s the X Factor, the key to victory.
