Honestly you want my opinion?

I\'m excited :)

Callahan, before he left the College game to work under Gruden, was one of the best recruiters in the country for Barry Alvarez in Wisconsin. He was at the top in the NFL, goona make more at Nebraska than he did in Oakland, he\'s a passing guy, goona give us a new look, more athletes to the team, and frankly, we\'re goona kick a serious amount of ass in the future.

If we still use the running game like we usually do, we\'ll be in great shape. Coupled with a more efficient passing game, we\'re goona be a damn good football team.

The question is, how much of the staff is kept. People we need to keep -- Marvin Sanders, Jimmy Williams. I consider Bo Pelini and Turner Gill lost causes, because they\'ll never want to stay now that they haven\'t gotten the job, Pelini especially.

If he, at the very least, is able to keep Marvin Sanders, the Huskers\'ll be in great shape defensively. Could very well have one of the best Secondaries in the country over the next 2 years. Hell, almost had the best secondary in the country THIS year, and that was with 3 Sophomores starting (Josh and Daniel Bullocks, Fabian Washington)

The unrest in Oakland was caused by the Veterans. Whining because in Callahan\'s first year, he listened to their every whim and essentially gave them control of the team. Second year, he wanted more control, and got bitched at by the old guys for it. There are egos in College Football, but none the size of some of the players in Oakland.

Honestly, it\'s a great fit for the Huskers.

What do Kerry Wood, Mark Prior, Matt Clement, and Carlos Zambrano have in common?

They\'re the pieces to the next great pitching rotation of our time, what else?

GO CUBS!

Mora gone = me sad...
Mora and his defense was one of the only bright spots we had all year.  Well maybe Monte Kiffin will get fired in TB and come to the Bay.  If he does I\'ll give him a reach around.

If Monte Kiffin ever got fired, I can bet you that Bill Callahan\'d give him a good look at Nebraska :)

Think about it, it Kiffin got fired, he\'d be going back to his home state, his alma mater, where he became a defensive genius with the Huskers in the early 70\'s and won National Titles, and he\'d also be going to Callahan, who he knows because he coached against him in a Super Bowl, and Kiffin actually shut him down pretty good in that game, obviously.

Kiffin gets fired, becomes Nebraska\'s Defensive Coordinator...mmm, good stuff :)

I\'m real low on D-eck, but I figure give him another year.  If he loses next year, well then send his ass back to the everglades.  Though, if the Niners could get their hands on a proven winner like Holmgren then give Eck the boot.  However, it\'s not bloody likely.

Funny James, before the hiring you were saying "Callahan, get out of my damn state!" every day he was being interviewed, and we were arguing about whose team should have to be stuck with him.  Go looking for something good after it happened? :p

And after KC get\'s slaughtered he\'ll come in here and say how it\'ll make them tougher and they\'ll do what Denver did after being beat at home in the Playoffs, and win back-to-back titles.  ;)

I dunno yet. Stay tuned.

I think I\'ll return to a slight level of activity. If I don\'t get bored.

Edit: Ah yeah, it has been two years. Got any recent pictures of Big Log?

Haha, cute kid.

Offer up a good dowry and when I have my daughter, we can marry them off together.

You should make him post, Vid. Pick a topic and let him mash the keys.
Who is this anamoly we call Jumpman? How is he able to do what he does and still survive after years of torment? It seems he feeds on the hate, growing with an intense passion to put unassuming members in their place.

Excuse me, is this a playoff game? Someone let the two teams know, so that they can make this exciting, because as it stands, this is so boring that I think I would rather just take some tyenol PM and catch the highlights in the mornin\' .
