EDIT: Oh and I\'m awaiting ROL Jamas response to Nebraska hiring Bill Callahan.
Honestly you want my opinion?
I\'m excited

Callahan, before he left the College game to work under Gruden, was one of the best recruiters in the country for Barry Alvarez in Wisconsin. He was at the top in the NFL, goona make more at Nebraska than he did in Oakland, he\'s a passing guy, goona give us a new look, more athletes to the team, and frankly, we\'re goona kick a serious amount of ass in the future.
If we still use the running game like we usually do, we\'ll be in great shape. Coupled with a more efficient passing game, we\'re goona be a damn good football team.
The question is, how much of the staff is kept. People we need to keep -- Marvin Sanders, Jimmy Williams. I consider Bo Pelini and Turner Gill lost causes, because they\'ll never want to stay now that they haven\'t gotten the job, Pelini especially.
If he, at the very least, is able to keep Marvin Sanders, the Huskers\'ll be in great shape defensively. Could very well have one of the best Secondaries in the country over the next 2 years. Hell, almost had the best secondary in the country THIS year, and that was with 3 Sophomores starting (Josh and Daniel Bullocks, Fabian Washington)
The unrest in Oakland was caused by the Veterans. Whining because in Callahan\'s first year, he listened to their every whim and essentially gave them control of the team. Second year, he wanted more control, and got bitched at by the old guys for it. There are egos in College Football, but none the size of some of the players in Oakland.
Honestly, it\'s a great fit for the Huskers.
See Yuz.
