Ultimate Ric Flair Collection
« on: December 27, 2003, 06:00:40 PM »
I mentioned before that I got the Ultimate Ric Flair Collection DVD for Christmas, but I just wanted to see if there were any other Flair fans.

If you\'re into Flair or enjoy wrestling for the actual wrestling, this DVD is awesome.  It\'s over ten hours of Flair.

It has matches of his against Race, Windham, Steamboat, Sting, Rhodes, Triple H, the 1992 Royal Rumble, and his first match for the WWWF (later to become WWF, then WWE) in 1976 against someone named Sanchez.

It also has tons of Flair interviews, his thoughts on the matches, and footage of a tribute the WWE superstars held for him after Raw this year.  It was really incredible to see.

I\'m going to Wrestlemania XX with my friend in March.  I\'m going to make a sign that says Flair is Forever.  One time he said "a diamond is forever, and so is Ric Flair."

I thought it\'d be awesome if they brought in Hogan to fight Flair at Wrestlemania XX.

I\'d maybe make another sign that had a list of names going down like a check list. Guys like Race, Vader, Sting, Luger, Steamboat would all be checked off.  The box next to Hogan would be blank.

They\'ve fought before in WCW and on WWF house shows (off tv), but never in a televised WWF/E match.

I still miss ECW so much, after it went down I just kinda stopped watching wrestling.

Just watched "Beyond The Mat" again a few days ago. Mick Foley is such a cool guy.

But yeah, I would like to check out that Flair DVD.

Oh come on.  For two reasons.

One, they\'ve never had at it in WWE so they could make a lot of interest in it.

And two, that\'s the only available wrestler that Flair would have a believable chance at beating.

Unless they brought in Sting or Steamboat, but that\'s been done.

Macho Man would be cooler. :)

Flair always looked out of his element to me.  reminds me of a business man.

Same here.  It seemed like at the same time that ECW died, WWF started dulling down a lot of its matches.  It might have just been me, or they might have just seemed dull by comparison, but that\'s what I saw.  My interest just faded after I no longer had ECW.

They are just too old... The match would suck so bad. They can barely run the ring when they are irish whipped. lol

Alright alright.  How about a rematch from Raw, HHH vs Ric Flair?

Who knows, maybe he\'ll win the Royal Rumble again.

Or maybe Randy Orton turns on him.  He\'s the legend killer.  I wouldn\'t mind watching Flair take Orton to the limit.

I still say Flair should have won against Undertaker at Wrestlemania esp after AA interfered.

Got a link to this DVD?

Flair was never afraid to put the other man over.  Besides, that would\'ve ruined Undertaker\'s winning streak.  Flair could\'ve maybe won a rematch at In Your House or something. :)

Did you notice how that match worked just like an old Flair bout? When you want to put on a classic, you work like the Nature Boy.

They started slow, with Michaels working a headlock, but the crowd ate it up because he was staying on HHH. They were exchanging chops all over the place, they kept the pace slow, and Michaels eventually locked on the figure four.

When it was over, Flair even got in and took a couple bumps. It was a really good bout, and I enjoyed the finish.

You have to wonder what Flair thinks whenever anyone throws a chop and the crowd yells Wooo!!

You have to. ;]

That was easily the best match in the last few years.  I especially liked the head scissors->pin->backslide.  Now that was old school.

Flair needs to be teaching at the power plant.
