No they arnt real, I think it would be very hard for a culture to have that technology before it is destroyed.

And other cultures may not even want to explore.

And the universe is so big, and so old, i mean... its like.... I dont think advanced species may even exist at the same time at all, and using the Human race as an example, techology also makes a race more self destructive....

Happening as of now? Yes

Its a bold thing to think that the "infinite" universe only contains us as the only living creatures. And rather the smartest.

If the universe is so vast, you would think something has taken greater leaps in technology, and actually holds the power to abduct.

I believe most abductees are fakes though. They only do it for attention.

Why would an Alien race so advanced to travel through space, abduct people?

If they are that smart, I believe they would have technology to have no need for abductions, and I think they\'d be advanced enough not to abduct people and do tests on them.

But I\'m sure that with all the UFO sightings and stuff, why wouldn\'t they study a live human in front of them in their ship. I\'m sure they don\'t take them to their planet. But they put them in their ship for a day or two, study them and put them back on earth. Is this true? Maybe one or two accounts. But most of the "abductions" are false and the people are complete whack jobs.

i do not believe a UFO has ever been to earth while it was inhabbited by humans.

Think about it.... few few planets currently have life.... most life is not intelligent.... the universe is oldddddddd, we have been here for a blink of an eye....

So, what is the chance another species, more intelligent then ours, is living during this time and is anywhere near traveling distance to earth?

I do think there is life out there, but I do not think a large amount is "intelligent" and I do not think any Human has ever encountered ANYTHING alien to earth.

I don\'t know, but I don\'t think its about "abducting" people. If anything, it would be more in the terms of exploring. Why do we open up frogs in school? Why do we break apart things? To study them.

For the most part, I do believe aliens exist. We can\'t be alone in this universe. And if we are, then we are screwed.

I see your point but you seem to be underestimating their technology. They could have invented a ship that can fly across the galaxy 100000x the speed of light. Either that or they DO live at the nearest star but never picked up on it. For all we know, they might live under one of the planets or moons. This is why we need to do better exploring, to unravel the mysteries of the universe.

If any of the UFO sightings are real, then I think we\'re dealing with secret government projects. And I mean that in a research sorta way - perhaps testing new methods for air/space travel and stuff like that.

I believe I read somewhere (dammit, can\'t remember where) that the possibility of meeting intelligent life elsewhere in the universe would be extremely low. Something about the rate of usuable planets and the time it takes to develop. The chances of it happening at the same time as us and all that would be looooow.

Oh my gosh some of you guys drive me crazy... You think the idea of God is so fake and farfetched yet you believe in aliens... I think someone that believes in aliens is in the same boat as the group that believe in werewolves, vampires, and goblins.

We are alone in this universe. X-files is just a TV show.
