well i know this i got over 350,000 miles out of my 92 maxima before i got my lex & the only thing i replaced on it was the axle. nissan makes some indestructible cars. i know like around the 83-85 era, american car manufactuers were putting out bullS***. anybody remember the 85 topaz & escort? my mom had one one & my friend had an escort, had to keep both cars in neutral at the light to keep it from stalling!

anyway nowadays you can\'t really go wrong with any car. the technology is there & american cars quality are right up there with some jap imports. don\'t forget that alot of american vehicles have alot of japanese parts in them too. i still feel that the jap cars have a little bit more polish tho.

I have a nissan Altima.  GOt it new in 97 and I haven\'t done a thing with it other than brake pads and a new battery.Extremely reliable.  Has 87,000 miles on it.  Granted that isn\'t much, but it\'s a descent little car.

I don\'t think I would buy anything american EXCEPT for a Corvette or a truck.  Although I don\'t think I\'d ever own a vette either.  I\'d take a porsche over a vette any day.

My BMW runs like a dream too, but it only has 30k on it so that doesn\'t count.

Before I got the BMW I owned Fords for 10 years.  ALWAYS ran like shit.  Horrible ride, etc. etc.
I wear a necklace now because I like to know when I\'m upside down.

I love my chevy blazer 2 door. It roxxors my boxxors. Then again, we get a lot of snow in Buffalo, and 4WD roxxs. My last v was a chevy too... never had one prob with it. Had it for 3 years and all I did was change the oil.

America makes some quality stuff. There are American cars with over 300K miles. An asian car would have fallen apart by then. Also, tools and stuff we make never break. Although, Microsoft really does put a drain on American craftsmanship :p
