If you missed his warning about the video, it gives away a LARGE portion of the game.  Download at your own risk.

^Then you\'re missing the point. It\'s not about JUST high res graphics. Twin Snakes will have MGS2 gameplay and, newly directed cutscenes and way better enemy AI.

NOOOOOO! Mgs1 was great. 2 was so so. Would have been better without the cutscenes and story.

i cant deny that the conversations and cut scenes were very much BUT.........
MGS and MGS2 were the only games in video games history that tried to go beyond the common "games are just for plain entertainment" IMO.And for that its a work of art and a game not for "just gamers that play for simple ebtertainment" I believe.Hideo Kojima spoke many times about the future of videogames rivaling someday the importance and entertainment other media offer like movies.
There are simple action  movies. There are movies with meanings.Social movies. There are movies with drama. There are comedy movies.
People that playied MGS2 and say didnt like it its like people that went to see Citizen Kane or Shindler\'s list and didnt like it because there wasnt enough action.
MGS2 tried to do something new.To change the way we see videogames.
Its like the kind of movies that arent just for simple "just sit and watch" entertainment appeared only recently.
MGS and MGS2 were probably the first games that made you think. Not just think to understand the virtual plot. But to think about our real world. The plot wasnt there for the game. The plot was there to make us revise our way of thinking and the things that happen around us.The plot was fictional but it made parallelisms with the real world. It was a metaphoric plot.

I enjoy the gameplay, and I think that is the reason most people enjoy MGS. Not because of the plot. I have my own political opinions, and do not care for movies or games shoving new views in. Either way I will pick it up. If it gets preachy. i will do the same thing I did in mgs2. Get up go out of the room until that crap is over.

Why most people enjoy the game is irrelevant.MGS2 didnt try to shove you any political opinions. And neither was MGS1 anyways. The settings could have been set in Russia, China, France, Germany, England, Iraq or wherever. The plot and the meaning would have remained the same. The views were neutral. It had nothing to do with left or right wings.Nothing to do with capitalism or communism. It had to do mostly with self-awareness.Perhaps you thought the game presented Americans as a mass of thoughtless sheep I assume thus making you think it had to do a lot with political values. But it wasnt that.America represented the whole world in the game.It had nothing to do solely with Russia or America or with other nations.
