this... is just to strange and silly for current events.

heard the story on the radio on the way home and found it on the BBC news site.

In fact i had to read it twice just to make sure it was for real.

Quote

An American Airlines pilot terrified passengers when he asked Christians to identify themselves and allegedly went on to call non-Christians "crazy".

Some passengers on the flight from Los Angeles to New York were so worried they tried to call relatives on their mobile phones. The pilot, whose name was not released, asked Christians on Friday\'s flight to raise their hands.

He then suggested non-Christians talk to the Christians about their faith. He went on to say that "everyone who doesn\'t have their hand raised is crazy"

This nation is turning into a theocracy of Christian zealots and other various nutters.  Did anyone read the article about Tim Lahaye in Rolling Stone?  We have a president that receives advice from these crackpots!

LaHaye met and fell in love with a fellow Detroiter, Beverly Jean Ratcliffe. The two followed the school\'s strict "no touching" dating rule, which required lovers to stay six inches apart; a year later, they were married.

lol, how is staying that far away from someone then immediatly marrying them help "Marriage"? If anything it creates a huge level of distance before being married, that will cause problems later on.

Oh and just look at the government, it totaly reflects all these crazy views....
It was a darkness all my own, a song played on the radio, It went straight to my heart - I carried it with me - until the darkness was gone.

...and Asia
July 2002: If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. Enron, $16.50 left. Worldcom, $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

Coredweller, I am not a crackpot. 99.9% of Christians are NOT like that pilot on that plane. I believe he had NO RIGHT to do what he did. He is lucky he lives in a free country where he is allowed to express his faith openly, so he should have enough respect that not everyone has the same views as himself. I don\'t believe that Christians are here is try and convert every single human on the planet.

Christianity is NOT a religion, its a faith.
Catholicism is a religion
Islam is a religion
Buddism is a religion

Religion is bound by tradition and laws. Christianity is about forgiveness and freedom.

I wasn\'t calling Christians crackpots.  I was referring to CRAZIES like Tim Lahaye, and apparently, this AA pilot.  Read the article I linked to.

Well put racer but the more you explain the more persecution we\'ll get. ;)

Simply put 1 bad apple doesn\'t make the whole barrel bad.  Everyone at my church would think he\'s a nut too.  America is a free country, I hope he gets fired.

Forgiveness and freedom? Those things just don\'t associate with the Bible...

I\'ve read 3 of the most recent books by that guy. They\'re alright I like the suspense they build. Other than that if Bush is reading those books, it would be pretty crazy. B/c the books mention the Middle East and a Commander of the Christian people that appoints people to be the next moses and stuff...

This is a free country but I don\'t think the Government prohibits companies from placing their own rules about their employees not preaching about their religion. I heard on the radio that the company of this guy said that he was going against "company policies"

I didn\'t mean fight problems or war due to religion, I meant narrow minded people always thinking in religion and such things. I do know there are more serious religious problems in asia, africa...
