I can\'t wait until this comes out. Too bad I don\'t own a GameCube. I want this so bad. This sounds like it will live up to the hype.

They are relatively cheap but not everybody has 150$ to throw around to get a system and a game.  Personally, I\'ll just marvel when one of my friends buy it.

It\'s funny, Residental Evil was a classic that I always pictured beautiful, and the GC version lived up to that dream.  I figure Twin Snakes will be just the same.

If you have the money for a Cube don\'t even hesitate.  There are not as much games on the console as the PS2 but 50% of the games on the console is some of the best games around... if you wish you could have fun like in the 8 bit days, you shouldn\'t hesitate.

(BTW, as Bozco mentioned, RE really lived up to the hype. I found that they really upped the story in the game as well.  MGS:TS is going to be something special... that MGS2 was supposed to be... and MGS3 will hopefully be.)

The only reason not to get a GameCube is the reason QuDDus listed, and the same reason I don\'t own a PS2. I have hardly enough time to keep up with all of the GCN, GBA, PC, Dreamcast, and Xbox games that I play.

Oh, btw... that Kasavin guy from the Gamespot is a real fvcker ! That whole feature reeks of disinterest in the MGS franchise, he even got the some names of pivotal characters wrong. Of course, everyone is entitled to their own tastes, but his personal tastes should never influence his professional editor work.

i bought a gamecube..uhm i mean santa ;) bought one for my son this past christmas..and i\'ve been tempted to buy the res. evil games for it..but i bought that game for my son & not myself :( now i like both res evil & silent hill & feel that silent hill is better but res evil 4 looks to bring the series back to it\'s roots somewhat. and i might have to get that title and just play it at night when my son is asleep!:p

as far as the twin snakes title goes i\'m sure it\'s a solid game with extra features but to me it\'s still a remake of the first..but i\'m sure gamecube fans that haven\'t experienced the 1st or 2nd title will find this to be a must have..i\'m more looking forward to snake eater. (sorry for takin this off topic a bit)

Of course Snake Eater is the one to look foward to but MGS might be my favorite game ever so the nostalgia factor keeps me wanting to see what Twin Snakes is like.

Finished Sh 2&3 and now waiting for SH4, but I can tell you that I also completed RE: Zero and RE1 (remake), make no mistake, these games are really good.  RE1 is not just better graphically but has stacks of different storylines in the game... do yourself a favour and buy it.

Correction...

RE 0 was the worse RE of all...
July 2002: If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. Enron, $16.50 left. Worldcom, $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

RE0 wasn\'t that bad. I mean, wouldn\'t you say it was a little better than RE3? Just a little?

I think RE1>RE0, but RE0 is in the same league as all of the RE games.

No, I wouldn\'t. Resident Evil Zero was one of the single worst games in my recent memory. It\'s a disgrace to the series.

What makes it so much worse than RE3? C\'mon. :)

You also love Metroid but hate Metroid Prime; maybe this.. like that.. is just another place we can\'t agree in.. eheh. I just don\'t see what makes RE0 so much worse than any other RE in your opinion. Could ya explain, LiC?
