Has anyone else heard of them?  They are a rock band from Phoenix that performs only music from NES games.  I read about them in a recent issue of Wired, and took a look at their website.  I downloaded the two MP3s posted on that site, and they are really good.  I\'ve listened to both of them several times, and these tunes sound very interesting performed as rock instrumentals.

I was the wrong age to play NES games when that system hit it\'s prime, but I do appreciate what they are doing.  Take a look at the site, and check out their music if you get the chance:

Yeah, I\'ve been listening to them off and on for who knows how long. They\'re the best gaming band I\'ve heard to date. There really isn\'t much competition, heh. All of the other acts I\'ve heard pale in comparison.

:crying:

Such sweet memories...

That music takes me back...
July 2002: If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. Enron, $16.50 left. Worldcom, $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

Mega Man 2 was by far the best in the series.  If just for the pure nostalgic factor.  God I could play that game all day long.

*busts out the NES*

My brother used to own NES, but it died years ago.  I never play mega man 2 nor castlevania 3.  Although i have played Castlevania and i love the game and the music.  I was unfamiliar to this music as i listen it.:(

Busted out the NES, w/ the running pad and the light gun.... All i can say is that i hate F***ing movers!

Before the move it worked and now the locking mechanism doesnt hold the game down anymore. And im not ghetto enough to use something like a toothpick to hold it down.
